Luton - Multiple Traffic Notices

THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.133) ORDER 2025. THE BOROUGH OF LUTON (STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.97) ORDER 2025.

NOTICE is hereby given that Luton Borough Council, the Highway Authority for the said Borough, on 9th June 2025 made the above Orders under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Orders will come into effect on 17th June 2025. The Orders will:
1. Include Baker Street (from its junction with Strathmore Avenue to a point outside property No.76 Baker Street), May Street and Cambridge Street (from its junction with New Town Street to its junction with Baker Street) into the Controlled Parking Zone (PT), the controlled parking zone on these three roads will operate between 8am and 6pm on Monday to Saturday inclusive.
2. Introduce various lengths of No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Baker Street, Cambridge Street, May Street, New Town Street, Strathmore Avenue.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers contained in the above Act or any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
