Kensington and Chelsea - Multiple Traffic Notices
What is happening?
(jjj) on the south-east side of Talbot Road, to convert 5.5 metres (18ft) of residents’ parking outside the flank wall of No. 26 Colville Square, situated on Talbot Road, to a blue badge bay (hours of control: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm, maximum stay 4 hours. No maximum stay outside these times);
(kkk) on the south-west side of the Trellick Tower Estate, to convert 2 metres (7ft) of double yellow lines to RBKC housing resident permit holders Bay (No. 17);
(lll) on the south-west side of the Trellick Tower Estate, to convert 0.5 Metres (2ft) of shared-use motorcycle parking bay to RBKC-housing resident permit holders bay (No. 17);
(mmm) on the north-east side of Walmer Road, to convert a Pay-By-Phone visitors’ parking bay (hours of control: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8.30am to 1.30pm, maximum stay 4 hours) outside Barlow House, situated on Walmer Road, to personalised disabled bay No. 866;
(nnn) on the north-east side of Walmer Road, to convert a Pay-By-Phone visitors’ parking bay (hours of control: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8.30am to 1.30pm, maximum stay 4 hours) outside Barlow House, situated on Walmer Road, to 5 metres (16ft) of residents’ parking;
(ooo) on the north-west side of Westbourne Park Road, to convert two Pay-By-Phone visitors’ parking bays (hours of control: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8.30am to 1.30pm, maximum stay 2 hours) outside Nos. 274 to 276 Westbourne Park Road, to 10 metres (33ft) of single yellow line (hours of control: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8:30am to 1:30pm); and
(ppp) to convert single yellow line waiting restriction situated at the following locations to double yellow lines waiting restriction: i. on the east side of the western arm and the north side of the southern arm of Adam and Eve Mews, outside the front and flank walls of No. 38 Adam and Eve Mews, a distance of 18 metres;
ii. on the north side of Campden Hill, opposite Thornwood Lodge and Tasker Lodge, situated in Campden Hill, a distance of 17 metres (56ft);
iii. on the eastern side of the junction of Draycott Avenue and Ixworth Place, for 14 metres (46ft);
iv. on the south side of Elkstone Road, outside Nos. 1 to 31 Elkstone Road, for 12 metres (39ft);
v. on the south-west side of Flood Street, outside Nos. 57 to 59 Flood Street, for 0.5 metres (2ft);
vi. on the north-east side of Jameson Street, outside Nos. 27 to 31 Jameson Street, for 10 metres (33ft);
vii. on both sides of Kingsdown Close, underneath the railway bridge, situated in Kingsdown Close, for 20 metres (66ft);
viii. on the south side of Ladbroke Road, outside No. 35 Ladbroke Road, for 6 metres (20ft);
ix. on the south-east side of Lennox Gardens, outside Knightsbridge School, for 31 metres (102ft);
x. on the south-east side of the south-eastern arm of Lots Road, opposite Nos. 64 to 68 Lots Road, for 14 metres (46ft);
xi. on the south-east side of the south-eastern arm of Lots Road, opposite Nos. 78 to 84 Lots Road, for 12 metres (39ft);
xii. on the north-west side of Scarsdale Villas, outside No. 36 Scarsdale Villas, for 4 metres (13ft);
xiii. on the south-east side of Scarsdale Villas, outside No. 27 Scarsdale Villas, for 7 metres (23ft);
xiv. on the south-west side of Seymour Walk, outside No. 9 Seymour Walk, for 5.5 metres (18ft);
xv. on the northern junction of South Terrace and Thurloe Square for 14 metres (46ft); and
xvi. on the south-west side of Victoria Grove, outside No. 36 Gloucester Road, located in Victoria Grove, to No. 5 Victoria Grove, for 34 metres (112ft);
(qqq) to update certain Articles and Schedules in The Kensington and Chelsea (Charged-For Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2023 and The Kensington and Chelsea (Free Parking Places, Loading Bays and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2023 to accurately reflect the provisions as they currently operate; and
(rrr) to modify the traffic order definitions of certain other parking places and waiting restrictions so they better reflect what is currently on the ground (there would be no change to the way these restrictions and parking places currently operate on-street).

A copy of the Orders and other documents may be obtained via email by contacting trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or by contacting Chris Eales by telephone on 020 7361 2553 quoting reference “Jun 25 Misc” and can be inspected at the Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
4. Anyone wishing to support or object to any of the proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Council, by email to: trafficorders@rbkc.gov.uk or by post to: Traffic Management Orders, Transport Policy, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street, London W8 7NX, quoting reference “Jun 25 Misc” by 23rd July 2025.
5. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
