Ashford, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

Appledore Road, Kenardington, TN26 2NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Appledore Road, Kenardington, from 17th June 2025, with estimated completion by 19th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Braeside, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Appledore Road, B2067, Appledore Road, Woodchurch Road, Kenardington Road, Appledore Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bagham Lane, Chilham, CT4 8DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow gas mains replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bagham Lane, Chilham, from 16th June 2025, with estimated completion by 4th July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Bagham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bagham Lane, A28 Ashford Road, A252 Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Bethersden Road, Smarden, TN27 8QF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Smarden, from 30th June 2025, with estimated completion by 2nd July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with The Cut, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bethersden Road, Smarden Road, Bull Lane, A28 Ashford Road, A262 Biddenden Road, High Halden Lane, Tenterden Road, A274 North Street, Headcorn Road, Bell Lane, Smarden Bell Road, Burnthouse Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Faversham Road, Charing, TN27 0NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow signing and lining works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Faversham Road, Charing, from 30th June 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Stalisfield Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Faversham Road, A251 Canterbury Road, A251 Ashford Road and Broomfield Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Gascoigne Road, High Halden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Gascoigne Road, High Halden, from 16th June 2025, with estimated completion by 27th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Gascoigne House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gascoigne Road, Chequer Tree Lane, Standard Lane, A28 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Godfrey Walk, Ashford, TN23 7ST (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow pothole repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Godfrey Walk, Ashford, from 30th June 2025, with estimated completion by 1st July 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite Waterman House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Green Lane, Bethersden. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Green Lane, Bethersden, from 1st July 2025, with estimated completion by 4th July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Green Lane Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Green Lane, Pot Kiln Lane, Bull Lane, A28 Ashford Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Hart Hill, Charing. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hart Hill, Charing, from 19th June 2025, for up to one day, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Warren Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hart Hill, A20 Maidstone Road, A252 Charing Hill, Bowl Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kingsford Street, Mersham. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsford Street, Mersham, from 17th June 2025, with estimated completion by 18th June 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Coningsby and Park View, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blind Lane, Church Road, Kingsford Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Kingsland Lane, Westwell. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2025

To allow pothole repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kingsland Lane, Westwell, from 1st July 2025, with estimated completion by 2nd July 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Westwell Lane and Lenacre Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenacre Street, Sandyhurst Lane and Westwell Lane.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Maytham Road, Rolvenden, TN17 4NF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Maytham Road, Rolvenden, from 30th June 2025, with estimated completion by 4th July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Glebe Fields, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Maytham Road, A28 High Street, Tenterden Road, Rolvenden Hill, Rolvenden Road, B2082 Smallhythe Road, Peening Quarter Road and Palstre Court Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

New Barn Road, Hastingleigh, TN25 5HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of New Barn Road, Hastingleigh, from 17th June 2025, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 67m South of the junction with Coldharbour Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via New Barn Road, South Hill, Tamley Lane and The Street.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Royds Road, Willesborough, TN24 0GU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Royds Road, Willesborough, from 1st July 2025, with estimated completion by 2nd July 2025, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 28 and 34, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

The Green, Woodchurch, TN26 3PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Green, Woodchurch, from 30th June 2025, with estimated completion by 3rd July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 37, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lower Road and Front Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Tile Lodge Road, Charing. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow fire hydrant renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tile Lodge Road, Charing, from 16th June 2025, with estimated completion by 20th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Red Lion, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Egerton Road, Charing Heath Road, Pluckley Road, Station Road, Ashford Road, A20 Maidstone Road and Tile Lodge Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Toll Lane, Charing, TN27 0DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Toll Lane, Charing, from 30th June 2025, with estimated completion by 2nd July 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Pett Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic heading South on Toll Road is via Wicken Lane, A20 Maidstone Road, Old Ashford Road, High Street, Pett Lane, and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic heading North of Toll Lane is via Toll Lane, Pilgrims Way, A525 Charing Hill, The Hill, Pett Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for Toll Lane is via Toll Lane, Wicken Lane, A20 Maidstone Road, Old Ashford Road, High Street, The Hill, A252 Charing Hill, Pilgrims Way.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Water Lane, Smarden, TN27 8QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2025

To allow new gas connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Water Lane, Smarden, from 16th June 2025, with estimated completion by 25th June 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to Parsonage House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cage Lane, Biddenden Road, Burnthouse Lane, Bell Lane, Water Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
