What is happening?

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
Order made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carrying out Carriageway Works) on Garnock Street, Kilbirnie between A760 Bridge Street Roundabout and Mill Road and Garnock Street Car Park by reason of works proposed to be executed on or near that road.
The Order will be in operation from (8am to 6pm Daily) from 2nd June to 6th June 2025 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025
The North Ayrshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order. A760 Largs Road, Kilbirnie (between Rosebery Court Junction and B784 Hourat Junction) will be closed in phases and run between 8am to 6pm daily (no weekend working) from Monday 9th June 2025 to Friday 27th June 2025 or whenever finishes earlier for Carriageway Improvement works. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

Proposed Review to the Council’s
Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils
Notice is hereby given, that North Ayrshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 53 (1) of the above mentioned Act and section 22 of the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994, proposes to review the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils in North Ayrshire. The review will involve at least three public consultation periods and reports to Special Meetings of the Council. Details are available on the Council website at http://www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/
A Special Meeting of the Council, held on 14 May 2025, agreed to a public consultation exercise on the review of the current Scheme. The Council now invites initial suggestions and representations from the public on the current scheme, Community Council areas and composition of the Community Councils. These initial suggestions and representations will be considered and subject to further consultation periods prior to amendment of the Scheme of Establishment of Community Councils.
Any person or organisation wishing to make written representations or comments on the current scheme, along with suggestions for amendments, may do so no later than 12 noon on Monday 4 August 2025 either:

• in writing to the Election Office, Cunninghame House, Irvine KA12 8EE
