Cumberland, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Various Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE CUMBERLAND COUNCIL AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.11) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.
Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Where it will come into operation on 1 July 2025 and may continue for a maximum duration of 18 months and as and when the relevant signs are displayed. However, please note that it is anticipated that each restriction is only likely to be required as and when necessary within the period of 1 July 2025 to December 2025, and only as and when the appropriate signs are displayed.

From its junction with the B5345, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4015 Queens Drive, Bowfell View, Castle Villas, South Street, C4005, A595 Thornhill and the B5345.
B5344 Drigg.

From a point approx 780m south of its junction with the A4904, extending in a southerly direction for approx 1.5km.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the B5344, B5345, Gosforth Road, Main Street, The Crescent and High Street.
B5344 Gosforth Crossroads to Corsa Lane, Seascale Road.
