Suffolk, Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Utility, Fibre Installation

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7433 HOGGARDS GREEN AND CHAPEL ROAD,

THE U7429 CHURCH ROAD AND THE C685 DONKEY LANE AND BURY ROAD, STANNINGFIELD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

  1. * the U7433 Hoggards Green, Stanningfield from no. 1 to the junction with The Green

  2. the U7433 Chapel Road, Stanningfield from the junction with The Green to no. 21

  3. the U7429 Church Road, Stanningfield from the junction with Donkey Lane to Bakers Barn

  4. the C685 Donkey Lane, Stanningfield from the junction with Church Road to Harts Green

  5. the C685 Bury Road, Stanningfield from the Stanningfield village sign for 1040 metres northbound.

This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. the A134 Main Road, the A134 The Street, the A134 Bury Road, the A134 Sudbury Road,

    Stanningfield Road, Bury Road and vice versa

  2. Bury Road, Old Lane and vice versa

  3. Bury Road, Hoggards Green, Chapel Road, the A134 Main Road, A134 from C700 to

    St Edmundsbury Borough Boundary, the A134 Sudbury Road, Lawshall Road, The Green,

    Hobbs Green, Hanningfield Green and vice versa

  4. the A134 Main Road, the A134 The Street, the A134 Bury Road, the A134 Sudbury Road,

    Church Road and vice versa

It is intended that the closures will operate from:

  1. 04/06/25 - 17/06/25

  2. 18/06/25 - 01/07/25

  3. 02/07/25 - 18/07/25

  4. 19/07/25 - 05/08/25.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF

THE U4054 DALES ROAD AND U4041 WESTHOLME ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

* U4054 Dales Road, Ipswich from 25 metres east and west of the junction with Westholme Road

* U4041 Westholme Road, Ipswich from Dales Road to no. 103 Westholme Road.

This is to facilitate manhole cover repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Dales Road, Norwich Road, Lower Dales Road, Dales View Road,

Parkview Road, Cotswold Avenue, Dale Hall Lane, Dales Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/06/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4428 CROMER ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4428 Cromer Road, Ipswich from

no. 1 - no. 12 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works

may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Deben Road, Westbourne Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/06/2025 from 8am - 1pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF

THE A137 WHERSTEAD ROAD, BRIDGE STREET, HAWES STREET,

THE A1156 FELIXSTOWE ROAD, BISHOPS HILL, FORE HAMLET AND FORE STREET

AND THE A1189 NACTON ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A137 Wherstead Road, Ipswich from the B1456 The Strand to the A137 Hawes Street to facilitate road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A137, the A1022, the A1156, the A14 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:

* A137 Bridge Street, Ipswich

* A137 Hawes Street, Ipswich

* A1156 Felixstowe Road, Ipswich

* A1156 Bishops Hill, Ipswich

* A1156 Fore Hamlet, Ipswich

* A1156 Fore Street, Ipswich

* A1189 Nacton Road, Ipswich.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/06/2025 – 06/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C730 POND HALL ROAD, HADLEIGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C730 Pond Hall Road, Hadleigh from Pheasant House to Hadleigh Bee Farm to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Station Road, the B1070, the A1071, Duke Street, Pond Hall Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/06/2025 – 06/06/2025 from 9am – 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C447 THE STREET, GREAT BRICETT

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C447 The Street, Great Bricett from the junction with The Green to The Old Vicarage to facilitate replacing poles and overhead lines. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1078, Lower Farm Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 04/06/2025 from 10am – 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3334 CHURCH LANE, U3316 TUDDENHAM LANE AND WESTERFIELD LANE, WESTERFIELD AND TUDDENHAM ST MARTIN

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the:

* U3334 Church Lane, Westerfield from the junction with the B1077 to Moss Lane

* U3316 Tuddenham Lane, Westerfield from the junction with Church Lane to Westerfield Lane

* U3316 Westerfield Lane, Tuddenham St Martin from Tuddenham Lane to High Oaks.

This is to facilitate the installation of fibre cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

* Church Lane: the B1077 Valley Road, Tuddenham Road and vice versa

* Tuddenham Lane and Westerfield Lane: Main Road, Church Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

* Church Lane: 04/06/2025 - 16/06/2025

* Tuddenham Lane and Westerfield Lane: 13/06/2025 - 03/07/2025.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
