What is happening?

City Of Bristol 

(Great George Street, City Centre, Bristol) 
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025  

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:- 

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of Great George Street specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; and 

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the existing one way traffic working:- (a) in a north easterly direction in Charlotte Street; and 

(b) in a north westerly direction in Charlotte Street South - so as to give effect to the alternative routes as a consequence of item 1. above 

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 16th June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place In 3 phases of between 2 and 3 weeks duration each, within the period between 16th June 2025 and 25th July 2025).

(Temporary  Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) 
(Temporary Prohibition  Of Wafting) Order 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is: 

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Barnstaple Road which extends from Kinvara Road to Marwood Road; and 

2. to prohibit, temporarily, any vehicle waiting in those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. 

The Order was required because development works are being or proposed to be executed on or near the roads, along with the subsequent requirement to facilitate safe access and egress for works vehicles and becomes operative from 10th June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10th June 2025 and 31st July 2026). 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kinvara Road, Connaught Road, Marwood Road and vice versa

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles And Foot Passengers) Order 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is:- 

1. to close, temporarily, to vehicles and pedestrians that length of Crews Hole Road which extends from a point 60 metres south east of Lamb Hill south eastwards for 90 metres; and 

2. to suspend, temporarily, when appropriate signs are covered, the prohibition of heavy vehicles from proceeding in Troopers Hill Road, so as to give effect to the alternative route for vehicles as a consequence of item 1. above. 

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and becomes operative from 16th June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 16th June 2025 and 20th June 2025).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: 
Vehicles: Crews Hole Road (part unaffected), Troopers Hill Road, Air Balloon Road, Summerhill Road, Church Road, Blackswarth Road, Crews Hole Road (part unaffected) and vice versa 

Pedestrians: Crews Hole Road (part unaffected), Public Right of Way 528 (Footpaths from Crews Hole Road to River Avon Towpath), Public Right of Way 192 (River Avon Towpath), Public Right of Way 530 (Footpath from Quayside Lane to River Avon), Quayside Lane, Crews Hole Road (part unaffected) and vice versa 

(Public Right Of Way 529 (Footpaths From Crews  Hole Road To River Avon Towpath), St. George. Bristol) 
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Foot Passengers) Order 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 529 (Footpaths from Crews Hole Road to River Avon Towpath) which extends from Crews Hole Road to Public Right of Way 192 (River Avon Towpath). 

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and becomes operative from 16th June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 16th June 2025 and 20th June 2025). 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Crews Hole Road (part unaffected), Public Right of Way 528 (Footpaths from Crews Hole Road to River Avon Towpath), Public Right of Way 192 (River Avon Towpath), Public Right of Way 530 (Footpath from Quayside Lane to River Avon), Quayside Lane, Crews Hole Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice. The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 23rd June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the dates specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice).

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 4 (Footpath from Lawrence Weston Road to Moorhouse Lane) which extends from Lawrence Weston Road to Moorhouse Lane. 

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and becomes operative from 23rd June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. 

However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 23rd June 2025 and 15th December 2025). 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Lawrence Weston Road, Public Right of Way 1 (Footpath from Lawrence Weston Road to Poplar Way East), Poplar Way East, Packgate Roundabout, Packgate Road, Moorhouse Lane and vice versa. 

(Public Right Of Way 468 (Footpath From  Callington Road To Kenneth Road). Brislington. Bristol)
(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Foot Passengers) Order 2025 

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to pedestrians that length of Public Right of Way 468 (Footpath from Callington Road to Kenneth Road) which extends from Callington Road to Kenneth Road. 

The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the public right of way and becomes operative from 20th June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Kenneth Road, Brislington Hill, Runnymead Avenue, Callington Road and vice versa
