Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3018 Salesian Gardens, Chertsey that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of “No.5 Salesian Gardens”, to the eastern property boundary of “No.8 Salesian Gardens”. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out investigations and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates.

D6831 Raleigh Drive, Claygate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6831 Raleigh Drive, Claygate that extends from its junction with C158 Hare Lane, to its junction with Chadworth Way. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out installation of a new bridge deck and/or associated highway treatments and/or improvements and/or resurfacing and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 5pm, in phases within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency services and, affected residences and businesses will be maintained via the alternative route:- Raleigh Drive, Loseberry Road and Hare Lane.

Temporary Closure Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding in the entire length of the footpath from D4010 Merrow Croft to A25 Epsom Road Rights of Way route 73 (T7076), Guildford. 

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus Services Limited/Thames Water to carry out water mains connection and/or repair and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 5 days of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times via means of footplates. Access for pedestrians will be maintained via the footway to Epsom Road, Horseshoe Lane East and Merrow Croft.

Montague Close (D3813) Walton on Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Montague Close (D3813) Walton on Thames as extends from its junction with (D3812) Sidney Road to its junction with (D3813) Montague Close in the vicinity of No. 30 Montague Close. 

This Order, which will commence on 16 June 2025 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of SGN, including but not limited to: mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works. 

Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works there will be no vehicular access through the works areas and all vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Guildown Road (D4016) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Guildown Road (D4016) Guildford. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via trench links, if required, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Stoke Road (A320) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stoke Road (A320) Guildford that is crossed under the bridge known as “Stoke Road Bridge” (NGL 15/47) and for a distance of 20 metres either side. 

Alternative Route: (A320) Stoke Road, (A25) Ladymead, (A322) Woodbridge Road, (A246) York Road, and (A320) Stoke Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 10pm and 6am, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Woking Road (D4025) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woking Road (D4025) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4027) Old Farm Road and for a distance of 35 metres in a southerly direction. Alternative Route: (D4025) Woking Road, and (A320) Woking Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works for, or on behalf of Winvic Construction Ltd. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Green Lane (C127) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the north westbound carriageway of Green Lane (C127) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (D3027) Bretlands Road to its roundabout with (A320) Guildford Road. 

Alternative Route: (A320) Guildford Road, (B3121) Murray Road, (B3121) Spinney Hill, (B3121) Church Road, (A318) High Street, and Green Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water works, in connection with the A320 HIF Scheme for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council/ Brownes. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 32 days, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Service Road Fronting 1 to 133 Convent Road (D3262) Ashford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 04 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Service Road Fronting 1 to 133 Convent Road (D3262) Ashford as extends from its junction with (D6205) Feltham Hill Road to its junction with (D3262) Metcalf Road. 

Alternative Route: (B378) Convent Road. This Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works for, or on behalf of Williams Construction (Essex) Ltd. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

D3057 Woodham Park Road, Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 4 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3057 Woodham Park Road. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025

On 4 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing/carriageway resurfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 4 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C19 Poyle Road, Tongham which extends from the eastern property boundary line of Poyle Park Cottage to the western property boundary line of No.99 Poyle Road. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate traffic calming works and/or improvement works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for emergency service vehicles, residents and businesses which will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

On 4 June 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Angel Road (D6810) Thames Ditton between the southern boundary of the property known as “92 Angel Road” and the northern boundary of the property known as “94 Angel Road”.

Alternative Route – Angel Road, Sugden Road, Ewell Road, A307 (Portsmouth Road) and Angel Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Network Rail to facilitate gutter replacement on railway bridge and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 4 July 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Dunsfold Road (B2130) Cranleigh
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Dunsfold Road (B2130) Cranleigh between its junction with Dunsfold Common Road (C33) and its junction with Horsham Road (A281).

Alternative Route – B2130 (Dunsfold Road, Godalming Road, The Street, Hascombe Road and Brighton Road), A3100 (Flambard Way, Bridge Road, Meadrow, Guildford Road and Old Portsmouth Road), A248 (Broadford Road), A281 (Horsham Road, High Street, Birtley Road, Rooks Hill and Horsham Road) and B2130 (Dunsfold Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate white lining works and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Dawney Lane (A324) and Gole Road (B3012) Pirbright
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council proposes to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: (a) Dawney Lane (A324) Pirbright between its junction with Connaught Road (A324) and Bisley Camp Road (D44) to its junction with Caterham Close (X324); (b) Gole Road (B3012) Pirbright between its junction with Dawney Lane (A324) to the western boundary of the property known as “Havenwood”; and (c) revoke “The Surrey County Council Dawney Hill (A324) Pirbright Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025”.

Alternative Route – A325 (Dawney Hill, The Green and Guildford Road), B3032 (Guildford Road), B380 (Fox Corner), A322 (Bagshot Road and Guildford Road), Queens Road and Bisley Camp Road, or this route in reverse. For Gole Road closure, additionally use B3012 (Gole Road), B3045 (Stanley Hill, Grange Road and School Lane), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Knights Brown Construction Ltd to facilitate S278 road widening and all associated works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 15-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.

B375 Bridge Road, Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B375 Bridge Road, Chertsey that extends from its junction with B387 Weir Road, to its junction with Knights Mead. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal refurbishment and/or repair and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 8 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated may be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time the Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the lengths of roads above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or preventing the likelihood of such danger arising. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of works via the alternative route:- Weir Road, Fordwater Road, Eastworth Road, Abbots Way, Curfew Bell Road, Heriot Road, London Road and Bridge Road.

Onslow House Service Road (D4004) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Onslow House Service Road (D4004) Guildford. 

Alternative Route: (1) (A322) Onslow Street, (A322) Woodbridge Road, Leas Road, Mary Road, and Laundry Road; (2) (A322) Onslow Street, (A322) Woodbridge Road, (A322) Onslow Street, (A322) Farnham Road, (A322) Bridge Street, and (A322) Onslow Street. 

This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane works for, or on behalf of Nationwide Traffic Solutions. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 21 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 July 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. 

All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the diversion route. No sole access to affected by this closure.

The Street (C40) West Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) The Street (C40) West Horsley as extends from its junction with (D251) Pincott Lane to its junction with (D868) School Lane; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council The Street (C40) West Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. 

Alternative Route: The Street, East Lane, (B2039) Ockham Road North, (B2039) Portsmouth Road, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (B2215) High Street, Rose Lane, and Ripley Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 June 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wick Road (D3112) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with (D3123) Blays Lane and for a distance of 120 metres in a south-westerly direction. 

Alternative Route: Wick Road, (A30) London Road, (A328) St Judes Road, Bond Street, Kings Lane, and Wick Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

This Order is required to facilitate, S278 carriageway resurfacing works for, or on behalf of Highways UK. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 8pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 June 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
