Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:

ORDER NO. MCC000143200413: The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Higher Blackley Ward, City Centre) (Temporary No Waiting and No Loading, Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic, Temporary One-Way Traffic, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic, Temporary Revocation of One Way Traffic Order 2025) under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to:

Schedule - Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic:
Spear Street, Warwick St to Dale St. Warwick St, Oldham St to Lever St. Lever St, Dale St to Warwick St. Faraday St, Spear St to Little Lever St. Hilton St, Oldham St to Spear St. Bunsen St, Lever St to Little Lever St. Bradley St, Houldsworth St to Warwick St. Middleton Rd, from the southern side of Junction 19 (boundary with Bury) to the southern junction of Victoria Ave, Middleton Rd, from the southern junction of Victoria Ave to the northerly junction of Crumpsall Lane, Blackley New Rd, Riverdale Rd to Middleton Rd, Tweedle Hill Road between Bank House Road and Victoria Avenue. All diversions will be signed locally.

Schedule 3 - Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic Field Footpath No.5 From Middleton Road for a distance of 20m in a south easterly direction then 40m in an easterly direction then 19 m in a southerly direction to the intersection of field footpath no.5 and an un-named footpath.

Schedule 4 - Revocation of One Way Traffic Brooklands Rd, from Middleton Rd to Cedric Road Wilton Rd from Holland Rd to Middleton Rd Auburn Street from Aytoun Street to Minshull Street - Vehicles will join traffic flow and turn left out of town via Chatham Street.

Schedule 5 - No Waiting and No Loading at Any Time
SpearSt Dale St. to Jct. with Warwick St. Old Hall Lane on both sides for its entirety, Heaton Park Rd West, On both sides for its entirety, Middleton Rd both sides from the southern side of Junction 19 (boundary with Bury) to the northern side of junction with Crumpsall Lane, Victoria Ave both sides from Middleton Rd to Caldecott Rd, Blackley New Road both sides of the road from Middleton Road to Roch Bank, Tweedle Hill Rd both sides from the Jct. of Addinham Close to the Jct. with Victoria Ave, Carr Bank Rd both sides from Blackley New Road to a point 15m in a southerly direction Bettwood Drive, Edilom Rd, both sides from Middleton Rd to a point 15m in a westerly direction, Moxley Road, Catherine Road, Bennett Road, Crumpsall Lane, Ardern Road both sides from Middleton Rd to a point 15m in an easterly direction Wilton Rd, Bowker Bank Avenue the West side of Tweedle Hill Rd between Chapel Lane and Beldon Rd And Chapel Lane between Galvin Rd and Tweedle Hill Rd on both sides of the Rd

Schedule 7 - One Way Traffic Victoria Ave from Tweedle Hill Rd to Middleton Rd - in that direction. Side roads will be signed accordingly into the one-way system. The alternative routes for pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be locally signed. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Events at Heaton Park 2025. 

It is expected that the restrictions will be in progress when traffic management is deployed on event dates between 13th June and 21st July. Catfish and The Bottlemen - 13th June. Parklife Festival 14th & 15th June. Oasis - 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th & 20th July.
