TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict
the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at then discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the
necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
The Order/s came into force on 9 th June 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works
are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Aston Road, Wem
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Long Comm Pipe Renew

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4367 Broome Road, Clungunford
Date & Duration: 12th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 14:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace pole
Alternative Route : B4367, B4385
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Bletchley Road, South of Calverhall
Date & Duration: 12th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Lane, Highley
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-remedial works

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Gravenhunger Lane, Irelands Cross
Date & Duration: 12th June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Renew
Alternative Route : London Road, The Square, Newcastle Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Mickley Lane, Mickley
Date & Duration: 10th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace decayed wooden pole.
Alternative Route : Mickley Lane, Wood Lane, Unnamed road North, Lostford Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Much Wenlock Road, Buildwas
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 5 nights between 20:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Newline Civil Engineering, road closure in connection with resurfacing as part of Section 278 works.
Alternative Route : A4169, A442, A458, A4169
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Christ Church Lane, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 11th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Street lighting replacement
Alternative Route : Shrewsbury Road, Dalelands Estate, Quarry Bank Road, Christchurch Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Station Road, Ditton Priors
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 3 nights between 21:00 to 06:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Road Closure is required for the safe access
of blockage clearance.
Alternative Route : Station Road, Beaconhill Lane, B4364, Oakwood Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Station Road, Clive
Date & Duration: 15th June 2025 for 1 day 08:00 to 17:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Rectify Defect.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Aldon and Onibury
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace pole

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Broomfields and Forton Heath, Broomfields
Date & Duration: 11th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North East to Forton Heath, Unnamed road West
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Holdgate and Tugford
Date & Duration: 13th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West, B4368, Unnamed road South East towards Stanton Long, Unnamed road South West through Holdgate
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Little Ness And Milford
Date & Duration: 12th June 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, access required to underground BT structure to provide service for customer.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West through Little Ness, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road North East through Forton Heath, Unnamed road North East through Yeaton
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Picklescott and Woolstaston
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, swap one pole.
Alternative Route : High Park, Unnamed road East, Unnamed road North towards Woolstaston, Unnamed road South West
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Shrawardine and Wilcott, Shrawardine
Date & Duration: 11th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement works.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road East, A5, Unnamed road South West towards Felton Butler, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road South towards Shrawardine
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Upton Magna and Withington, Withington
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 between 09:30 to 14:45
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, to provide a safe working area for engineers to access carriageway boxes to provide service to a customer.

Purpose: Road Closure - Short Comm Pipe Install

Purpose: One Way Closure - Severn Trent Water, LP Lining of defective sewer line from within the manhole.
Alternative Route : B4380, B4386, A5, A458
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Ryton and B4379
Date & Duration: 9th June 2025 for 9 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Works on Waste pipes
Alternative Route : Havenhills road, B4379, B4176, Madeley road, Caynton road, Ryton road
