Shropshire - Various Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -
PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated
below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises
having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for
cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative
route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 16th June 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the
direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will
only be operative for the duration as stated in below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Aston Lane, Uppington
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement works.
Alternative Route : Wrekin Course, B5061, Aston Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Bank, Clun
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Replace pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East and South West towards Pentre, Unnamed road West towards New Invention, A488
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Church Road, Baschurch
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 4 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Lay 10m new gas service
Alternative Route : Church Lane, Church Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Kinsley Road, Knighton
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Renew poles
Alternative Route : Station Road, B4355, Unnamed road North East through Monaughty Poeth, Unnamed road South East through Skyborry Green and Nether Skyborry
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lower Houses, Stanley Green
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole testing in verge
Alternative Route : Church Lane, Post Office Lane, Unnamed road North East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lower Road, Harmer Hill
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New gas service
Alternative Route : A528, Lower Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Park Avenue, Oswestry
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 23 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Gas mains replacement.
Alternative Route : Welsh Walls, Willow Street, Park Avenue
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Queen Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, excavate trench from existing chamber in carriageway to new chamber for flow monitoring system in footway.
Alternative Route : Queen Street, Burton Street, West Street, North Street, New Park Road, John Street
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Rack Lane, Whixall
Date & Duration: 18th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace Wooden Pole
Alternative Route : Post Office Lane, B5476, Coton Park, Gilberts Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Nantmawr
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 for 18 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : Blodwel Bank, B4396
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Haughton to Coppice Xrds, Somerwood, Uffington
Date & Duration: 18th June 2025 for 6 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway repairs.
Alternative Route : B5062, Unnamed road South East through Uffington, Unnamed road South East through Downton towards Upton Magna, Unnamed road North
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Oakfield to Baveneywood, Stottesdon
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 12 days
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme
Alternative Route : B4363, Unnamed road North towards Bagginswood
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wood Lane, Marchamley
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West, Shrewsbury Road, Unnamed road South East through Darliston and continuing South East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4380 Between Leighton
and Eaton Constantine
Date & Duration: 22nd June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, new water connection.
Alternative Route : B4380, A4169, A458, B4380
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between B4378 and Weston
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-remedial works
Alternative Route : B4378, B4368, Unnamed road North West towards Brockton
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Llanfair Waterdine and Dutlas
Date & Duration: 18th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-new water connection
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South, B4355, Unnamed road East, Unnamed road South East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Mytton and Fitz
Date & Duration: 20th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required to provide safe working area for engineers to replace BT pole.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road North through Fitz, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South West through Forton Heath, Unnamed road East
towards Mytton
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road from A529 to Cheswardine
Date & Duration: 17th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole
Alternative Route : Haywood Lane, A529, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Dudleston
Date & Duration: 19th June 2025 between 09:30 to 15:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Pole test
Alternative Route : B5069, B5068
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road, Hengoed
Date & Duration: 18th June 2025 for 8 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Working on poles

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Ticklerton and Eaton under Heywood
Date & Duration: 16th June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Remedial works
