What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -
SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(PEGASUS DRIVE, BIGGLESWADE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pegasus Drive, Biggleswade between London Road and Montgomery Way.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 27 June 2025 to 28 July 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via London Road, Normandy Lane, Montgomery Way and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 27th June 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(SAFFRON ROAD, BIGGLESWADE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Saffron Road, Biggleswade.

This temporary closure is required to enable civils resurfacing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 June to 4th July 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Teal Road, A6001, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025)
AND (TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of the cul-de-sac section of Saffron Court, Biggleswade from the beginning of the cul-de-sac section to outside number 42 and 44.

This temporary closure is required to enable parking of surfacing equipment to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 27 June 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A DISABLED PARKING BAY
ON GOTHIC WAY AND CRICKETERS ROAD, ARLESEY

Reason for proposal: The disabled parking space would provide dedicated places for blue badge holders to park.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce Parking for Disabled badge holders only on the following length of road in Arlesey:-

1.  Gothic Way, south side, from a point in line with the eastern property boundary belonging to No. 23 Gothic Way and extending in a westerly direction for 3.6m in width and southwest for 5m in length. Please see plan for clarification.

PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON ST NEOTS ROAD, SANDY

Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons or other traffic and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising and for facilitating the passage of traffic on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians).

Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Sandy:-

1.  St Neots Road, west side, from a point approximately 4 metres north of the shared property boundary between Sandy Methodist Church and No. 103 St Neots Road and extending in a north westerly direction for approximately 16 metres, ending approximately 1 metre south of the shared property boundary between No. 111 and No. 115 St Neots Road.
