(Worthing: Guildford Road) (Temporary Closure) 
Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Guildford Road in Worthing from its junction with South Street, eastwards for 30M.

The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced  in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 9 June 2025 and remain in force until 4 July 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes  for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on  the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using the highway should be directed to the WSCC Contact Centre,

(Worthing: Wallace Avenue) (Temporary Closure) 
Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Wallace Avenue in Worthing from its junction with West Parade northwards to its junction with Gerald Road. The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced  in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 9 June 2025 and remain in force until 15 August 2025.  Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes  for vehicles will be indicated on site.  Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Angmering: Station Road/The Square/Water Lane and Arundel Road) (Temporary Traffic Regulation)
Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the route formed by Station Road/The Square/ Water Lane in Angmering as follows:

Arundel Road to Church Road from 9 June 2025 to 20 June 2025;

Church Road to High Street from 23 June 2025 to 9 July 2025;

High Street to Cumberland Crescent from 10 July 2025 to  1 September 2025;

Cumberland Crescent to Weavers Hill from 2 September 2025 to 19 December 2025;

From 9 June 2025 to 20 June 2025 Arundel Road will also be closed to southbound vehicles from Church Road to Water Lane and the One Way restriction on Church Road suspended to allow maintain access.

These restrictions are needed allow Southern Water to carry out improvements to the local sewerage system.

The Order continues the effect of a previously issued temporary notice and come into effect from 9 June 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Various Roads Minor Amendment)
Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact recently installed minor amendments to parking restrictions in Worthing as follows:

A short length of double yellow line on the northern side of Grafton Place at the entrance to a property; a bay for disabled persons blue badge holders on the southern side of Orme Road;  a loading bay on the south side of Brighton Road outside the Splash Point Development and a short extension of existing double yellow lines on the southwestern bend in Devonport Road. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 9 June 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 5 June 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose. (Consolidation) Order 2009) (Shoreham-By-Sea:
Upper Shoreham Road and Middle Road Amendment)
Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed restriction prohibiting waiting at any time at the junction of Upper Shoreham Road with The Drive in Shoreham-By-Sea. The Order also enacts recently installed changes to the layout of parking restrictions on the southern side of Upper Shoreham Road at its eastern junction with Buckingham Road. 

The Order also enacts recently installed changes to lengths of double yellow lines on Middle Road.

A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 9 June 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website.  People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
