NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR
THE COUNTY OF LEICESTERSHIRE
ADDITION OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH D58 (PART) AT TWYFORD
IN THE PARISH OF TWYFORD AND THORPE
WITHIN THE BOROUGH OF MELTON
DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2025

On 29th May 2025 Leicestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

The effect of the Order as confirmed (without modification) is to add Footpath D58 (Part), in the Parish of Twyford and Thorpe and the Borough of Melton which will extend from Grid Reference 47319 31176 in a generally southerly direction for a distance of approximately 75 metres to join with recorded Footpath D59 at Grid Reference 47319 31168 as shown on the Order Map.

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Melton Borough Council, Station Approach, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1GH during normal office opening hours during office opening hours. A copy has also been sent to Twyford and Thorpe Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.

The Order came into force on 29th May 2025 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court.
