What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH SHENLEY 4
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Shenley 4, heading south from Silver Hill to Green Street, for an approximate distance of 800m.
Alternative route: via Shenley 1
The purpose of the Order is to enable access works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 30 May 2025 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RIVERSIDE ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Riverside Road, St Albans from its junction with Cottonmill Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Cottonmill Lane, Old London Road, A1081 London Road, Approach Road, Cornwall Road and Riverside Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at times when signs are in place on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SOUTH RIDING, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER NO.2 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of South Riding, Bricket Wood from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.17 South Riding north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via South Riding, Oak Avenue, North Riding, West Riding and South Riding.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at times when signs are in place on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KENNEL LANE, KINSBOURNE GREEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kennel Lane, Kinsbourne Green from its junction with Coles Lane north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Kinsbourne Green Lane, a distance of approximately 1314m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Coles Lane, Annables Lane and Kinsbourne Green Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HIGH STREET, REDBOURN AND ROUNDWOOD LANE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”):
1. That length of High Street, Redbourn from its junction with the A5183 Redbourn Bypass/A5183 St Albans Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Harpenden Lane, a distance of approximately 667m.
An alternative route will be via A5183 Redbourn Bypass and Harpenden Lane.
2. That length of Roundwood Lane, Harpenden from its junction with A1081 Luton Road south westwards, north westwards, south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junctions with Kinsbourne Green Lane, a distance of approximately 1984m.
An alternative route will be via A1081 Luton Road, The Common and Kinsbourne Green Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHEQUERS LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chequers Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with A405 St Albans Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 160m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road), Horseshoe Lane, Woodside Road and Chequers Lane.
Or via A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road), High Elms Lane, Woodside Road and Chequers Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BEECH ROAD, ST ALBANS) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Beech Road, St Albans from a point in line with the western boundary of No.125 Beech Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 34m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Beech Road.
The Order is needed because service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARDEN GROVE, HARPENDEN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the southbound carriageway of Arden Grove, Harpenden from its junction with B652 Station Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 29m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B652 Station Road, A1081 St Albans Road, Bull Road, Southdown Road and Arden Grove.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
