(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MAIDEN STREET, WESTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Maiden Street, Weston from its junction with School Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 113m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Maiden Street, Fore Street, Green End, Ashanger Lane, A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road), The Heath, B1037 White Hill, Weston Road, Halls Green and Maiden Street.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TILEHOUSE STREET AND BUCKLERSBURY, HITCHIN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:
1. That length of Tilehouse Street, Hitchin from a point in line with the eastern boundary of no.93 Tilehouse Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 38m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.
However, access to properties will be maintained whenever possible while works are in progress.
2. That length of Bucklersbury, Hitchin from its junction with Tilehouse Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However access to properties and businesses on this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTWAY SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST AND NORTH WEST SIDES OF CONSTANTINE CLOSE AND THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF NO.15 CONSTANTINE CLOSE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footway (“the Footway”) and footpath (“the Footpath”):–
1. the footway situated on the south east and north west sides of Constantine Close, Stevenage from its junction with Bader Close, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Bader Close, the footway situated on the north side of Trumper Road and the footpath situated on the south east side of No.15 Constantine Close.
2. the footpath situated on the south east side of No.15 Constantine Close, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 36m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Trumper Road, the footway situated on the west side of Bader Close and the footway on the south east and north west sides of Constantine Close.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footway and Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 6 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footway and Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ASTON END ROAD, ASTON) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Aston End Road, Aston from its junction with Brookfield Lane south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Benington Road, a distance of approximately 1152m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Brookfield Lane, New Park Lane and Benington Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath (“the Footpaths”):–
1. the footpath situated on the north west and west sides of Nos. 2-36 York Road, Stevenage from its junction with York Road south westwards, southwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 255m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Nos. 4-8 Canterbury Way, the footpath situated beneath York Road and the footpath situated on the east side of Nos. 99-60 York Road.
2. the footpath situated between No. 24 and No. 26 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No. 26 York Road eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. the footpath situated on the south side of No. 38 and No. 46 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No. 36 York Road eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. the footpath situated on the south side of No. 36 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the western boundary of No. 36 York Road eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. the footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 40-54 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of Nos. 40-54 York Road westwards for a distance of approximately 47m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. the footpath situated on the east side of Nos. 60-99 York Road, Stevenage from its junction with York Road south westwards, southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 186m.
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the west side of Nos. 4-8 Canterbury Way, the footpath situated on the south side of Nos. 19-23 York Road, the footpath situated on the west side of Nos. 41-53 York Road, York Road, the footpath situated on the east side of Nos. 242-254 York Road and the cycle track situated on the north side of A1072 Martins Way and the east side of Canterbury Way.
7. the footpath situated between No. 78 and No. 80 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No. 80 York Road westwards for a distance of approximately 29m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
8. the footpath situated on the north side of No.56 and No.62 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.56 and No.62 York Road westwards for a distance of approximately 31m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. the footpath situated between No.110 and No.112 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.110 York Road westwards, north westwards and westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
10. the footpath situated on the south side of No.122 York Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.122 York Road westwards for a distance of approximately 24m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the west side of No.138 York Road, the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.138–146 York Road, the footpath situated on the south east side of Nos.188–204 York Road, and the cycle track situated on the north side of A1072 Martins Way and the east side of Canterbury Way.
11. the footpath fronting Nos.64–74 Chaucer Way, Hitchin from its southernmost junction with Chaucer Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 68m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
12. the footpath fronting Nos.190–200 Chaucer Way, Hitchin from its junction with Chaucer Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 51m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
13. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.40–94 Hardy Close and Nos.120–184 Keats Way, Hitchin from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of No.94 Chaucer Way south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Kipling Close, a distance of approximately 68m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.96–106 Hardy Close, the footway situated on the south west side of Hardy Close, the footway situated on the south west side of Keats Way and the footway situated on the north west side of Kipling Close.
14. the footpath situated between No.40 Hardy Close and No.184 Keats Way, Hitchin from its junction with Hardy Close north eastwards for a distance of approximately 34m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 6 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN HITCHIN, STEVENAGE AND COCKERNHOE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:–
1. that length of B656 Walsworth Road, Hitchin from its junction with the Verulam Road/Highbury Road roundabout north eastwards to its junction with the A505 Cambridge Road/A505 Nightingale Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 446m.
An alternative route will be via B656 (Walsworth Road/Queen Street/Park Street/Hitchin Hill), A602 Park Way and A505 (Old Park Road/Bedford Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Nightingale Road) or via A505 (Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Bedford Road/Paynes Park), A602 Park Way and B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street/Queen Street/Walsworth Road).
2. that length of Weston Road, Stevenage from its junction with Almonds Lane north eastwards to its junction with St Albans Link, a distance of approximately 523m.
An alternative route will be via Almonds Lane, Grace Way Canterbury Way and St Albans Link.
3. that length of Luton Road, Cockernhoe from its junction with Elmtree Avenue southwards for a distance of approximately 263m.
An alternative route will be via Luton Road, Brick Kiln Lane, Lower Road, Darley Road, Eaton Green Road, Wigmore Lane, Crawley Green Lane and Luton Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1037 Fairlands Way, Stevenage from its westernmost junction with Pacatian Way south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 322m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B1037 Fairlands Way, A1155 Verity Way, Martins Way, Gresley Way and B1037 Fairlands Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LAW HALL LANE, BENDISH) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Law Hall Lane, Bendish from a point 178m south west of its junction with St Pauls Walden Restricted Byway No.017 south westwards for a distance of approximately 355m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Law Hall Lane, Lilley Bottom Road, Bendish Lane, C27 (unnamed road) and Law Hall Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 June 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

1. the footpath situated on the west side of No.219 Trumper Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.219 Trumper Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 50m.
An alternative route will be via the footpath situated on the south side of No.219 Trumper Road and the footway/cycle track situated on the east side of Grace Way.
2. the footpath situated on the south side of No.259 and No.265 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its northernmost junction with Trumper Road westwards, southwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. the footpath on the south side of No.211 and No.217 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road westwards, southwards, westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 58m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. the footpath situated on the north side of Nos.87–95 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road north eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 56m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
5. the footpath situated on the south side of Nos.97–103 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road south eastwards, southwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 69m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
6. the footpath situated on the east side of Nos.105–111 Trumper Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.105 Trumper Road southwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 57m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
7. the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.135–167 Trumper Road, Stevenage from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.161 and No.167 Trumper Road southwards, south westwards, southwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 166m.
An alternative route will be via the footway/cycle track situated on the east side of Grace Way, the footpath situated on the south side of No.159 Trumper Road and the footpath situated on the west side of Nos.183–191 Trumper Road.
8. the footpath situated on the north side of No.157 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road westwards for a distance of approximately 23m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
9. the footpath situated on the south side of No.163 and No.169 Trumper Road, Stevenage from its junction with Trumper Road westwards for a distance of approximately 30m.
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

An alternative route will be via B1037 (High Street/Whitehill/unnamed road), A507 (Baldock Road/unnamed road/Clothall Road), B656 Whitehorse Street, B197 (High Street/London Road), A505 Baldock Bypass, B197 (Jacks Hill/High Street/Graveley Road), A602 Hitchin Road, A1072 Martins Way, A1155 Verity Way and B1037 (Fairlands Way/Stevenage Road/High Street).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
