East Boldon Infants School - Temporary Prohitibion of driving order
What is happening?
SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
(EAST BOLDON INFANTS SCHOOL, EAST BOLDON – NO WAITING/NO LOADING/UNLOADING AT ANY TIME) ORDER 2025
On 4 June 2025 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 6 June 2025 will revoke No Waiting and No Loading Mon to Fri 8am to 9.30am and 3pm to 6pm on Mundles Lane south side from its junction with South
Lane in a south eastwards direction for 70m and on South Lane south side from its junction with Mundles Lane in a north westwards direction for 45m. The order will introduce No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on:- Front Street-A184 south side from a point 27m east of its junction with Gordon Drive in a northerly direction to a point 22m west of its junction with Gordon Drive; Gordon Drive both
sides from its junction with Alison Drive in a northerly direction for 12m; east side from its junction with Front St in a southerly direction for 27m and west side from its junction with Front St in a southerly direction for 20m; Hiram Drive both sides from its junction with Alison Drive in a southerly direction for 7m; Mundles Lane south
side from a point 6m east of its junction with the access road to Mundles Farm in a westerly direction to a point 43m west of its junction with access road to Mundles Farm; South Lane north side from its junction with Mundles Lane in a westerly direction for 5m and from a point 10m east of its junction with The Orchard in a
westerly direction to a point 10m west of its junction with The Orchard and south side from a point 5m west of its junction with Mundles Lane in a westerly direction for 11m, from a point 23m west of its junction with Mundles Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 21m and from a point 44m west of its junction with Mundles Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 14m (across the access road); The Orchard both sides from its junction with South Lane in a northerly direction for 10m. Please note that the Council has considered objections received and following a review of amended proposals
the restrictions on Alison Drive have been reduced from those originally proposed. The new no waiting and no loading/unloading restrictions on Alison Drive stand as follows:- Alison Drive north side from a point 12m east
of its junction with Gordon Drive in a westerly direction to a point 30m west of its junction with Gordon Drive and south side from a point 7m east of its junction with Hiram Drive in a westerly direction to a point 10m west of its junction with Hiram Drive. Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between
10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the
Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 4 June 2025 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
