NORTH NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH UA1 (PART) BURTON LATIMER FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025 and PUBLIC FOOTPATH UA1 (PART) BURTON LATIMER FOOTPATH EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2025


The above Order, made on 20th February 2025, under Section s118 and 119 and Sch 6 of the Highways Act 1980 was confirmed on 22nd May 2025.
The effect of the Order as confirmed will divert part of Public Footpath UA1. The first section of UA1 to be diverted starts at Point A National Grid Reference (“NGR”) SP 8921 7525 then travels northwest for approximately 288 metres to point B NGR SP8906 7550. The second section of UA1 to be diverted starts at C at NGR SP8904 7548. It then continues south west for approximately 46 metres to point D at NGR SP8901 7545. Both routes are shown as solid black lines on the attached plan (“Plan”) and the routes have no recorded width.
The proposed new route of the first section UA1 (part) travels generally west from Point A at NGR SP 8921 for approximately 139 metres to point E at NGR SP 8909 7521, where it meets the public highway. The alternative route is shown on the Order Map as a broken black line between points A – E.
The second section to be diverted begins at point C at NGR SP8904 7548. It travels generally south west for approximately 47 metres to point D at NGR SP8901 7545. The alternative route is shown on the Order Map as a broken black line between points C – D and will be renumbered UA30.
The alternative path is shown by a broken black line on the Plan between Points marked A – E and C - D. Both alternative routes have a width of approximately 1 metre throughout their length and of a macadam type construction.
The section of UA1 to be extinguished begins at point B at NGR SP8906 7548. The route travels south west for approximately 29 metres to point C at NGR SP8904 7548. The route is shown on the Order Map as a solid black line between points B - C
The route has no awarded width.

Any representations about or objections to either Order must be received by the 10th July 2025 at the address given below and not later than. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Order is confirmed.
If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
