What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Bowles Close and Newman Drive, Burnham On Crouch) (20mph Zone) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 84(1) (a) and 2, and Parts III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

To Implement: a ‘20mph Zone’ on the following length of roads, in the District of Maldon.

Road

Description

Bowles Close,

From its junction with Endeavour Way, North West for approximately 99 metres for its entire length including private drives and turning heads.

Newman Drive,

From a point approximately 70 metres from its junction with Endeavour Way, North then West and East for approximately 73 metres for its remaining length including private drives and turning heads.

(High Street, Maldon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from its junction Victoria Road for a distance of approximately 120m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd June 2025 for 5 nights (20:30 - 06:30), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2387649 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing and street lighting works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Alternative routes are available via:

1. Eastbound – High Street, Butt Lane, Victoria Road.

2. Westbound – Mill Road, Wantz Road, High Street

The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hopping Jacks Lane, Nursery Lane & Runsell View, Danbury)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic)

Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Hopping Jacks Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Nursery Lane to its junction with Runsell View a distance of approximately 210m.

2. To temporarily close that length of Nursery Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hopping Jacks Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction.

3. To temporarily close that length of Runsell View, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hopping Jacks Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 26th June 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC2008WG2LHN0NETHSB & WG2LHN0N01ETHSB & WG2LHN0N02ETHS-Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground structure works are undertaken by Openreach.

Alternative routes are available via

1. Runsell Lane, London Road, Maldon Road, Belvedere Road, West Belvedere, Hopping Jacks Lane and vice versa.

2. Nursery Lane, Runsell Lane, London Road, Maldon Road, Belvedere Road, West Belvedere, Hopping Jacks Lane and vice versa.

3. No diversion route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hyde Lane, Danbury)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hyde Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 50m north east of its junction with Cherry Garden Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd June 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30006345878 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cable diversion works (going from overhead to underground) are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Hyde Lane, Maldon Road, Cherry Garden Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Tyndales Lane, Danbury)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tyndales Lane, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Hyde Lane to its junction with Maldon Road a distance of approximately 315m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th June 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2363615 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Hyde Lane, Maldon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Wantz Road, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Wantz Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon District, from its junction with Wantz Chase for a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in that length of Wantz Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon District, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Dyers Road as detailed in “The Essex County Council (Wantz Road, Maldon) (One Way) Order 2018 for the duration of the above closure only.

The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 29th June 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFRN8H9M – Openreach).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Wantz Road, High Street, Fambridge Road, Limebrook Way, Mundon Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 5th June 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Brook Road, Tillingham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Brook Road, Tillingham in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 180m west of its junction with St Nicholas Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th June 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013320673 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Reddings Lane, Tillingham Road, Southminster Road, South Street, North Street and vice versa (with access only into Brook Road).

The Order came into effect on 22nd May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
