ABBEY ROAD AND CARLTON HILL
THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order would be to:
(a) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on:
(i) the south-west side of Abbey Road, outside No. 47 and adjacent to No. 42 Carlton Hill (51 metres);
(ii) the north-west side of Carlton Hill, outside Nos. 42 to 46 (29.5 metres);
(iii) the south-east side of Carlton Hill, outside Nos. 35 to 37 and adjacent to No. 50 Abbey Road (27.5 metres); and
(iv) the south-east side of Carlton Hill, adjacent to Matlock Court, No. 45 Abbey Road (2.5 metres); and
(b) introduce “at any time” loading restrictions at the junction of Abbey Road and Carlton Hill.
Advisory with-flow cycle lanes would be introduced in Abbey Road, on both the north-westbound and southeastbound approaches to its junction with Carlton Hill.
3. The proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at https:// westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00a.m. and 5.00p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposals should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, WSP Traffic Order Team, 3rd Floor, WSP House, 70 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1AF, or by email to tmo.westminster@wsp. com quoting reference 8151/LH, by 25th June 2025.
All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
