Burden Road, Hereford - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order:
U80243, Burden Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80243, Burden Road, Hereford, at the junction with Ledbury Road.
Grid Ref: 352842/240294. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Seaton Avenue onto Ledbury Road A438 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to gas mains replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 9th of June 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 12 days.
