(Consolidation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to consolidate the existing Traffic Regulation Orders designating use of bus lanes and bus only routes and regulating traffic to support bus infrastructure in Crawley.

This Order consolidates the provisions of the following Traffic

Regulation Orders:-

The Borough of Crawley (The Boulevard Service Road/

Queensway/Parkside) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1974; The Crawley (The Broadway) (Prohibition of Driving) Order, 1981; The County

Council of West Sussex (Crawley: High Street, Eastern Service Road) (One-way Traffic) Order, 1982; WSCC(Crawley) (London

Road (A23)) (Bus Lane and 50 MPH Speed Limit) And (Various Roads Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation) Order 2008; WSCC

(Crawley: Dorsten Square) (One-way Traffic and Prohibition of Driving) Order 2010; WSCC(Crawley: High Street & The Boulevard)

(Traffic Regulation) Order 2014; WSCC(Crawley: A23 London Road) (Bus Lane) Order 2019; WSCC(Crawley: Manor Royal) (Bus Lane) Order 2023; WSCC(Crawley: The Boulevard & The Broadway) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2023.

The Order will come into operation on 9 June 2025.

Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to have a copy of the Order by post should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirements of the act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 4 June 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
