Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

 

B2169 Furnace Lane, Hook Green (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2169 Furnace Lane, Hook Green, on or after 29th June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 50m east of Elephant’s Head Public House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2169 Furnace Lane, B2169 The Down, B2100 The Slade, B2100 Cousley Wood Road, B2100 Sparrows Green Road, B2099 Durgates, B2099 Station Road, B2099 Station Hill, B2099 Frant Road, B2099 Riverhall Hill, B2099 Wadhurst Road, A267 Mayfield Road, A267 Frant Green Road, A267 Fant Road, B2169 Bayham Road and vice versa.

 

B2023 High Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow permanent reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2023 High Street, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 10th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property numbers 87 and 89, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any eastbound through traffic is via B2023 High Street, Vale Road, A26 London Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any westbound through traffic is via A26 London Road, Vale Road, B2023 Vale Road, B2023 Grove Hill Road, Claremont Road, Mount Sion and vice versa.

 

Cornford Lane, Pembury, TN2 4NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new water supply to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cornford Lane, Pembury, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside East Lodge, between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 on Monday to Friday, 08:00 and 18:00 on Saturday and 09:00 and 17:00 on Sunday. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, A228 Pembury Road, A264 Pembury Road, Halls Hole Road, Cornford Lane and vice versa.

 

Furnace Lane, Horsmonden, TN12 7BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Furnace Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Maryamma. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Yew Tree Green Road, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Furnace Lane and vice versa.

 

Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8AG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree surgery works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goudhurst Road, Horsmonden, on or after 15th June 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Wheelwrights Barn, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Goudhurst Road, Ballards Hill, B2079 North Road, A262 The Plain, A262 West Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 Station Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 Forstal Farm Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow a new water connection to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside property number 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Linden Park Road, A26 Eridge Road, Nevill Terrace, Linden Park Road and vice versa.

 

Marle Place Road, Brenchley (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cable repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marle Place Road, Brenchley, on or after 23rd June 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside High Tong Lodge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marle Place Road, Ruck Lane, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Tong Lane, Green Lane, Tong Road and vice versa.

 

Sophurst Lane, Matfield, TN12 7LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sophurst Lane, Matfield, on or after 9th June 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Matfield Gate. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Kippings Cross Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Blue Boys Roundabout, A21 Hastings Road, Cryals Road, Sophurst Lane and vice versa.
