What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1)

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(KNAVES HILL, LINSLADE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Knaves Hill, Linslade outside number 56.

This temporary closure is required to enable dig and investigation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 23 to 25 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(BILLINGTON ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard outside number 34.

This temporary closure is required to enable VXO installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from

23 June 2025 to 25 June 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Billington Road, Chartmoor Road, Grovebury Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 23 June 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

(HILLVIEW LANE, GREAT BILLINGTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hillview Lane, Great Billington outside number 30.

This temporary closure is required to enable a replacement connection to take place in safety and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 June 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via the B440.

The Order will come into operation on 11 June 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL

PROPOSES TO AMEND

WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VANDYKE ROAD,

LEIGHTON BUZZARD

Reason for proposal: The waiting restrictions are intended to maximise the opportunity for on-street parking, improve road safety by ensuring that visibility at junctions is not obstructed by parked vehicles, to address indiscriminate parking on footways and double parking on the road at points where the road is not wide enough.

Effect of the Order:

To replace No Waiting from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm with No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1. Vandyke Road, northeast side, from a point approximately 0.8 metres northeast of the shared property boundary between 2A Beaudesert and No. 1 Vandyke Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 122 metres.

2. Vandyke Road, northeast side, from a point approximately midway across the frontage of No. 45 Vandyke Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 56 metres. To revoke No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1.  Vandyke Road, southwest side, from a point approximately 4.5 metres southwest of the shared property boundary between No. 12 and No. 14 Vandyke Road and extending south-westerly for approximately 2.9 metres.

To revoke No Waiting from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm:-

1.  Vandyke Road, northeast side, from a point approximately in line with the northeastern flank wall belonging to No. 73 Vandyke Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 30 metres.

To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Leighton Buzzard:-

1. Vandyke Road, southwest side, from a point approximately 8 metres northeast of the centre of the junction with Regent Street and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 160 metres.

2. Vandyke Road, northeast side, from a point approximately 10 metres southwest of the centre of the junction with Atterbury Avenue and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 267 metres, ending at the junction with Clarence Road.

3. Vandyke Road, southwest side, from a point approximately 3 metres southwest of the shared property boundary between No. 124 Vandyke Road and No.1 Atterbury Avenue and extending northeast for approximately 7 metres.

4. Clarence Road, both sides, from the junction with Vandyke Road and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 18.4 metres.

5. Vandyke Road, both sides, from the centre of junction with Clarence Road and extending in a north-easterly direction for 21 metres.

6. Vandyke Road, southwest side, from the centre of the junction with Clarence Road and extending in a south-westerly direction for 21 metres Associated Documents can be found on deposit for public inspection at the address shown below up to a

point 6 weeks after the order has been, or the proposal has been cancelled.
