Laxford Place, Coatbridge - Temporary Road Closure for Scottish Gas Improvement Works
What is happening?
NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL
LAXFORD PLACE, COATBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
On 26 May 2025 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Scottish Gas improvement works) on Laxford Place, Coatbridge from its junction with Afton Gardens southwards on Laxford Place approx. 90m or thereby to its junction with Paddock Street by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: Laxford Place, Strathmore Walk, Sikeside Place, Sikeside Street, Paddock Street Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 9th June 2025 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Monday, 30th June 2025.
