Section 90c Highways Act 1980 – Relocation of Traffic Calming Feature – Stanks Gardens, Seacroft, Leeds

Leeds City Council proposes to implement the above highway improvements and is required under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, to place at appropriate points on the highway concerned a Notice of its proposals. The proposals include: 1. The removal of one existing speed hump on Stanks Gardens (located approximately 106m south-east of its junction with Swarcliffe avenue). 2. The installation of one new speed hump on Stanks Gardens (located approximately 116m south-east of its junction with Swarcliffe Avenue); elevated to a maximum height of 75mm measuring 3.7m x 5.5m. A copy of this Notice and individual scheme plans are available on request via the email address below. If you wish to object to or make representations concerning the proposals you should write to Mr M Butcher, Traffic Team, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR or e-mail troteam@leeds.gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 23 June 2025.

(City Wide) Order 2025 – (Amendment No.11) Order 2025

Leeds City Council made the above-named Order under on 22 May 2025 Sections 1,2,3,4,5,32,35,45,46,122 & 124 (and part IV of Schedule 9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004 as amended and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police. The effect of this Amendment Order, which comes into effect on 2 June 2025 is to introduce: 1. An On-Street Permit Parking Zone (All Day & Hours) on the whole lengths of Branwell Ave/Close/Rd and Greenshaw Court and Mews, Guiseley. 2. No Wating at any Time on sections of a. Domestic St; Marshall St & Whitehall Rd, Holbeck. b. Apex Way, Armouries Way, Carlisle Rd; Cudbear St, Hunslet Rd; Sayner La & Rd; Hunslet. c. Bridge St; Brunswick Row; Byron St; Gower St; Lower Brunswick St;

Melbourne St, Nile St & Trafalgar St; Sheepscar. 3. Time Limited Parking from 8.00am to 6.00pm on all Days (10 Minutes – No Return Within 1 Hour) on a section of Merrion Way. 4. On-Street Pay by Phone Parking operating Monday to Saturday (8.00am to 6.00 pm) on sections of a. Marshall St & Whitehall Rd Holbeck. b. Apex Way; Armouries Way; Carlisle Rd; Chadwick St; Clarence Rd; Cudbear St; Hunslet Rd; Sayner La & Rd Hunslet. The applicable charges are as follows (South Outer Zone Tariff). Monday to Friday: Up to 2 hrs – £1.80; up to 4 hrs – £2.60; up to 6 hrs – £3.10; up to 8 hrs – £3.70 & up to 10 hrs – £3.90. Saturday: Up to 2 hrs – £1.20; up to 4 hrs – £1.90; up to 6 hrs – £2.40; up to 8 hrs – £2.60 and up to 10 hrs – £2.80.

The above restrictions were originally advertised under Order numbers W2514 Amend Order 1 2024 and W0224 respectively and by virtue of this Amendment Order have now been incorporated as amendments to ‘The Leeds City Council Various Roads, Metropolitan District of Leeds) (Waiting Restrictions and On Street Parking Places) (City Wide) Order 2025’, which comprises map-based schedules and an electronic map-based system. A copy of the Amendment Order, together with related documentation may be obtained by e-mailing troteam@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to question the validity of this Amendment Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
