Order 2025

The Council on 23/5/2025 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road a 775 metre length of A167 southbound dual carriageway from Hermitage Roundabout Chester le Street to the junction with Holmhill Lane, Chester Moor to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the northern side of the closure from A167 south westerly and westerly on B6313 Picktree Lane, North Burns and Pelton Fell Road, turning south westerly on North Approach and Whitehill Way, westerly on Waldridge Road and south to A167 Chester Moor Roundabout to the southern side of the closure. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 2/6/2025 and are required between 7pm and 6am for a period of 7 working nights, anticipated to be Monday to Thursday and Saturday to Monday, ending on the morning of Tuesday 10 June 2025. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
