Manchester - Multiple Road Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143299918: The City of Manchester (Barway Road, Chorlton Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Barway Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Edge Lane, Hampton Road, Daresbury Road vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate gas mains replacement. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 4th June 2025 to the 18th June 2025.
The order shall come into operation on the 4th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. ORDER NO. MCC143312882: The City of Manchester (Four Yards & South King Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Four Yards between John Dalton Street and King Street & on South King Street at its junction with Cross Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cross Street, Market Street, St Mary’s Gate, Deansgate. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a new electrical connection.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th June 2025 to 27th June 2025. The order shall come into operation on 4th June 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
