Shropshire - Various Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –      

PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING      

         
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict
the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the
necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below.  The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.         
         
The Order/s came into force on 2 nd June 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works
are completed, whichever is earlier.  However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Berrisford Road, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 3 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - To provide a safe working area for engineers to excavate and provide new service to customer.
Alternative Route : Newcastle Road, A53, Pinfold Lane, Unnamed road North West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Chapel Lane, Dudleston Heath
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole in verge
Alternative Route : B5068, Chapel Lane


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Elm Road, Albrighton
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Remedial works
Alternative Route : Elm Road, Bowling Green Lane, Newport Road, High Street, Cross Road



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Friars Street, Bridgnorth. At the same time parking bays will be suspended between numbers 10 to 54
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 between 08:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-To provide a safe working area for engineers to excavate and provide new ducting in carriageway & footway, to provide service to customer.
Alternative Route : Cartway, River Side, Southwell Riverside, Friars Street



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4368 High Street, Clun
Date & Duration: 8th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-remedial works
Alternative Route : A488, B4385, B4368


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using High Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 8th June 2025 for 2 days between 10:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Cadent Gas, remedial works required to defective reinstatement.
Alternative Route : Beeches Lane, Town Walls, Murivance, St Chads Terrace, Claremont Bank, Lower Claremont Bank


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using High Street, Wem
Date & Duration: 8th June 2025 between 09:00 to 18:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Remedial works
Alternative Route : High Street, New Street, Pyms Road, Lowe Hill Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Meadow Place, Shrewsbury. At the same time the one way order will be rescinded on Meadow place to allow access.
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: Road Closure - National Grid, cable reinforcement scheme.
Alternative Route : Castle Street, St Marys Street, Dogpole, Wyle Cop, High Street, Mardol Head, Shoplatch, Bellstone, Barker Street, Bridge Street, Smithfield Road, Roushill, Raven Meadows


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Oswestry Road, B5069, Ifton Heath
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Required for pole test.
Alternative Route : B5069, A528, B5068, B5069


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road Kenstone, Hodnet
Date & Duration: 5th June 2025 for 7 days
Purpose: Road Closure to enable carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : Unnamed road East, A53, Unnamed road North and continuing West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Ponthen, Melverley Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace wooden pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North East



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4386 Marton to Brockton
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repairs
Alternative Route : A490, A489, A488, B4499


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4397 Baschurch to Marton
Date & Duration: 6th June 2025 for 8 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Multevo carriageway repair
Alternative Route : B4397, A528, B5067, Shrewsbury Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Earls Ditton, Doddington
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 12 days between 07:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme
Alternative Route : A4117, Hints Meadow, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road South East


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Gravel Hill, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 5th June 2025 for 16 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme

Date & Duration: 3rd June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Bbox Install 25mm and Meter

Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 3 days and 21st June 2025 for 1 day

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Ashford Bank, Claverley
Date & Duration: 2nd June 2025 for 3 days and 20th June 2025 for 1 day between 09:15 to 14:45 weekdays
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works
Alternative Route : Aston Lane, Unnamed road North East, B4176, Unnamed road South West and continuing South.


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A488 and Gravelsbank
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Air valve Renew
Alternative Route : A488, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road South East to Gravels Bank


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between
Asterton and Myndtown
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Washout Rebuild chamber
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road South, A489


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between B4378 and B4368
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 15:30
Purpose: Road CLosure-Openreach-MJ Quinn are to replace 1 x decayed wooden BT pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, B4368, Unnamed road West towards Brockton, B4378, Unnamed road East


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Cefn Einion and Bicton
Date & Duration: 5th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road CLosure-Openreach-MJ Quinn are to replace 1 x decayed wooden BT pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North, Unnamed road East towards Cefn Einion,
Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road West


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Mainstone and Cefn Einion
Date & Duration: 5th June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-MJ Quinn are to replace 1 x decayed wooden BT pole
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South West through Mainstone and continuing South East, Unnamed road North


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road between Vron Gate and Rowley
Date & Duration: 3rd June 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - BT, pole replacement works.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, Welsh Harp Hollow, A458, Marche Lane, Unnamed road West through Vron Gate


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road through Glynmorlas
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Road closure required for the safety of engineers to carryout pole testing works.

Date & Duration: 3rd June 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace pole

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Pulverbatch to Norbury
Date & Duration: 3rd June 2025 for 4 days and 23rd June 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North through Annscroft and Hook A Gate, Longden Road, B4380, A488, A489



Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A41 between M54 and A464, Long Lane, A41 South bound from A5 to M54, Neachley Lane, Worcester road, Worcester road West, Newport road, Green Lane, Bowling Green Lane, Sydnal lane, Footpath between The Old Windmill on Green Lane and Bowling Green Lane, Monarchs
Way (A464 to Caynton Hall), Rectory road and Kennel Lane. At the same time there will be a Prohibition of Waiting at any time on the following streets : A41, Newport road, Albrighton By
Pass, Shakerley lane, A464 Holyhead Rd, Monarchs Way, Unnamed road from A41 to Whiston Hall
Date & Duration: 8th June 2025 for 1 day between 06:00 to 21:00
Purpose: Cosford Air Show, traffic management for safety
Alternative Route : Mine Bank, Drawell, Station Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Moreton Street, Prees
Date & Duration: 4th June 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Boundary Box Install
Alternative Route : The Pinfold, Lacon Street, Preeswood, Unnamed road North West, Green Lane
