(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6529 Rosalind Street Hawthorn Road Back Lane, Ashington for its entire length of 101 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 9th June 2025 until the 27th June 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 9th June 2025 until the 13th June 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 27th June 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via First Avenue, Hawthorn Road, Castle Terrace and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to renew the communication pipes. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
