U6705 BRIARDENE ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6705 Briardene Ashington from its junction with Alderwood, Ashington heading in a north westerly direction for a distance of 81 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th June 2025 until the 16th June 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 8th June 2025 until the 9th June 2025 between the hours of 21:00 until 05:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th June 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U6705, U6702, U6701, U6719 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Chevron Traffic Management to carry out repair works to telecom antennas. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
