What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP1207072 HAPTON, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Part of Public Footpath FP1207072 Hapton, Burnley, from the junction with FP1207001 Hapton, Burnley, at Point A (SD7962 32912) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 196 metres to Point B (SD7985 3294).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 9th June, 2025, for a period of 2 months or until the works are completed within this period.
