EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (Public Footpath Herstmonceux 46b (part))
(Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

To protect public safety during construction works approved under planning consent WD/2024/1262/F, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following footpath:

Temporary Footpath Closure
Part of Public Footpath Herstmonceux 46b will be closed between TQ 6464 1011 (junction with Herstmonceux 45b, 45c, 46c), and TQ 6449 1027 for 240 metres.

An alternative route will be available from footpath Herstmonceux 46b at TQ 6449 1027, west along the Castle’s access roadway (Flamsteed Road), and then south along Maskelyne Road to join bridleway Herstmonceux 45b (re-joining the long-distance trail 1066 Country Walk) and vice versa. Also available will be a continuation west along Flamsteed Road to the Castle’s west gate entrance on Church Road where to the south you can rejoin the 1066 Country Walk on bridleway Herstmonceux 45a as well as meet Herstmonceux 17, 42a and nearby 56a and vice versa.

The Order is made following the issuing of a Temporary Notice under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act 1984, as amended.

The closure will be in force for 6 months from 2 June 2025, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier, which after this period will require an extension from the Secretary of State, should the footpath still be unavailable to use.

The East Sussex (A26 Uckfield Road & C402 Chillies Lane,
Crowborough) (Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit)  Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following lengths of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limits
Uckfield Road
– from Malvern House to Furze Hill.
Chillies Lane – from the junction with A26 Uckfield Road to Poundgate Manor.

The Order commenced 15 November 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place on 2 June 2025.

The East Sussex (B2192 The Broyle, Ringmer) 
(Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 30 mph:

The Broyle – from the junction with B2124 Laughton Road to the junction with C326 Shortgate Lane.

The Order commences 2 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated the speed restriction will be in place on 2 and 3 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
The Broyle – from the junction with B2192 The Broyle to The Wok Inn.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 2 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 2 and 3 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily restrict all traffic using the following length of road to a speed not exceeding 40 mph:

Diplocks Roundabout/ Hailsham Bypass/Arlington Eagles Roundabout/
Polegate Road/ Hailsham Road
– from the junction with A22 Boship roundabout to the junction with A27 Cophall roundabout.

The Order commences 5 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The East Sussex (U5662 Half Mile Drove, Ringmer)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Half Mile Drove – from the junction with B2192 The Broyle to the junction with B2124 Laughton Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2192 The Broyle – B2124 Laughton Road and vice versa. The Order commences 2 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.

However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 2 and 3 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C13 Scallows Lane, East Hoathly)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Scallows Lane – from the junction with C13 Moat Lane to the junction with U7027 Laundry Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C328 Foxhunt Green – C208 Rocks Lane, The Street, Possingworth Lane – B2102 Lewes Road – B2192 Lewes Road, Heathfield Road – A22 Eastbourne Road – C59 London Road – C13 Waldron Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 27 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 2 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7036 Hanging Birch Lane, Horam)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Hanging Birch Lane – from the junction with U7038 Sandy Lane to the junction with U7671 Bray Hill Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7671 Bray Hill Lane – C208 Furnace Lane – A267 Little London Road – U7036 Hanging Birch Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 5 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 and 6 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C209 Treblers Road, Rotherfield/Crowborough)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Treblers Road – from the junction with U7768 Tubwell Lane to the junction with C209 Castle Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C209 Castle Hill – C12 Cottage Hill – B2101 Mayfield Road, South Street – B2100 High Street, Church Road, Rotherfield Road – C209 Mottins Hill and vice versa.

The Order commences 2 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 2 and 3 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C14 Newick Lane, Heathfield/Mayfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Newick Lane – from the junction with C14 Stone Cross to the junction with A265 Burwash Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C14 Stone Cross – A267 Wellbrook Hill, Mayfield Road, Heathfield Road, Cross in Hand Road – A265 High Street, Burwash Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 6 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 4 and 5 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (A259 Station Approach, Newhaven)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Network Rail to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Station Approach – 20 metres either side of the level crossing.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic westbound via A26 New Road – A259 The Drove Slip Road, The Drove, B&Q roundabout, The Drove, South Way, Lewes Road, North Way, The Drove, North Quay & eastbound via A259 Drove Road, B&Q roundabout, The Drove, South Way, Lewes Road, North Way, The Drove, The Drove Slip Road – A26 New Road.

The Order commences 4 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 23:45hrs to 04:30hrs on 4 and 5 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C15 Foul Mile, Herstmonceux)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 No.2
To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Foul Mile – from the junction with C15 Cowbeech Road to the junction with C15 Cowbeech Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C15 Foul Mile, Cowbeech Road – C279 Rushlake Green, Rookery Lane – C16 Back Lane, Bodle Street, White Horse Road, The Causeway, Victoria Road – A271 Windmill Hill Road, Gardner Street – C344 West End, Stunts Green – C15 Cowbeech Hill, Cowbeech Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 1 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 06:00hrs to 12:00hrs on 1 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7514 Hempstead Road, Uckfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Hempstead Road – from the junction with C41 High Street to the junction with U7514 Hempstead Rise.

To facilitate these works it will be necessary to suspend the one-way system between Hempstead Rise and the entrance to Wealden Lodge by making the road 2 way for traffic.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C41 High Street – U7514 Grange Road, Hempstead Rise and vice versa.

The Order commenced 30 April 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 2 and 3 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures
Lewes Road – from the junction with U7404 Knowle Lane to the junction with C327 Back Lane.

Back Lane – from the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the junction with A22 Eastbourne Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A22 Eastbourne Road, The Shaw roundabout, East Hoathly bypass, South Street, Whitesmith, Holmes Hill – B2124 Lewes Road, Laughton Road – B2192 The Broyle, Terrible Down Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 3 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 3 and 4 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Whiteway/High Street/Waterloo Square/North Street – from the junction with C39 Alfriston Road to the junction with C120 Lullington Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C39 North Street, Alfriston Road – A27(T) Drusillas roundabout, Lewes Road, Eastbourne Road, Beddingham roundabout – A26(T) Newhaven Road, Beddingham Road, New Road – A26 New Road – A259 Drove Road, B&Q roundabout, The Drove, Denton roundabout, Seaford Road, Newhaven Road, Buckle bypass, Claremont Road, Station Approach, Clinton Place, Sutton Park Road, Sutton Road – C39 Alfriston Road and vice versa.

The Order commenced 22 April 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 2 and 14 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U7173 Rockington Way, Crowborough)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Rockington Way – for its entire length. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 16 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Chapel Hill – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 16 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 20 June 2025, depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Chilver Bridge Road – from the junction with C39 Station Road to the junction with C340 The Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C340 The Street, Wilbees Road – C210 Caneheath – C690 Michelham Priory Road – C39 Coldharbour Road, High Barn Road, Wick Street, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 16 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 16 June 2025, depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Swan Road – from the junction with U7719 Archery Walk to the junction with U7719 Bowley Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U7719 Bowley Road, The Stringwalk, Bowley Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 16 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 24 June 2025, depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C568 Lake Street, Mark Cross/Mayfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Lake Street – from the junction with A267 Mayfield Road to the junction with C14 Tidebrook Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A267 Mayfield Road – B2100 Wadhurst Road, Best Beech Hill – C14 Tidebrook Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 16 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 16 and 30 June 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure
Cuilfail Tunnel/Southerham Road – from A26 Cuilfail Tunnel roundabout to the junction with A27 Southerham roundabout.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic eastbound via A27(T) Lewes bypass, Ashcombe roundabout – A275 Brighton Road – A277 Western Road, High Street – A2029 Market Street, North Street, Little East Street – A26 Phoenix Causeway, Brooks Road roundabout, Malling Street, Cuilfail Tunnel roundabout and westbound via A26 Cuilfail Tunnel roundabout, Malling Street, A26 Brooks Road roundabout, Phoenix Causeway – A2029 Eastgate Street – A277 High Street, Western Road – A275 Brighton Road – A27(T) Ashcombe roundabout, Lewes bypass, Southerham roundabout.

The Order commences 13 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed below, depending upon the weather conditions;

On 13 and 14 June 2025
On 12 and 13 September 2025
On 12 and 13 December 2025

The East Sussex (London to Brighton Bike Ride) 
(Special Event) Order 2025

To enable the British Heart Foundation to hold the London to Brighton Bike Ride on Sunday 15 June 2025, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 16 A to C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily bring into force the following restrictions:-

Route to be followed

No person shall cause or permit any vehicle that is not participating in, or connected with the London to Brighton Bike Ride to proceed in, exit from, or turn into any of the lengths of road specified below, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or that of a uniformed marshal who will be responsible for regulating the traffic flow:-

Restrictions will be in place from 06:00hrs to 20:00hrs on Sunday 15 June 2025.

Temporary One-Way Traffic Southbound

B2112 Fox Hill/Ditchling Road (locally known as Luncies Hill) – closed to northbound traffic from the border with West Sussex, south to the Folders Lane roundabout.

Diversion for northbound traffic via A273 Brighton Road, A273 London Road, A273 Issac’s Lane, then onto the A272.

Temporary Road Closures

B2112 Common Lane, Ditchling – from the junction with B2113 Folders Lane roundabout through Ditchling village leading into C203 Beacon Road/Ditchling Road, to the C5060 junction with C4500 Carden Avenue (Old Boat Corner), Brighton.

Further, to prohibit traffic from exiting from side roads onto the B2112 and C203 – U5241 South View, Orchard Lane, Dumbrells Court, C656 East End Lane, U5651 Church Lane, B2116 West Street, B2116 Lewes Road, B2112 Clayton Road, U5652 Nevill Cottages, U5682 Long Park Corner & U5240 Underhill Lane (west and east) will be closed.

Alternative route via C4500 Carden Avenue – Brighton & Hove bypass – A23(T) London Road – A273 Clayton Hill – B2112 New Road – C306 Lodge Lane – B2116 Keymer Road – C306 Ockley Lane/Keymer Road – B2113 Folders Lane, in both directions.

C6 Green Road, Wivelsfield – at the junction of the B2112 at the mini roundabout.

Diversion for northbound traffic on B2112 Ditchling Road/Fox Hill via C322 North Common Road – B2183 Beggars Wood Road then onto the A272 & southbound traffic via C6 South Road – C71 St Helena Lane – C71 Folders Lane East.

Temporary Prescribed Route – Ahead Only

B2112 Ditchling Road – at the Folders Lane roundabout junction with B2113 Folders Lane and Folders Lane East, eastbound and westbound traffic will have no right turn and no left turn in force.

Eastbound traffic travelling north on the B2112 will be diverted via Keymer Road & then north on the A273 Brighton Road.

Westbound traffic travelling north on the B2112 will be diverted via Folders Lane, south on Keymer Road – Ockley Lane – Keymer Road West to the A273, then north on the A273 to the A272.

Vehicles travelling north on Streat Lane will be diverted via St Helena Lane – South Road – North Common Road – Beggars Wood Road & the A272.

Vehicles travelling north on Plumpton Lane/Station Road will be diverted via South Road & then onto North Common Road.

Temporary Prohibition of Waiting

B2116 Lewes Road, Ditchling – south side – from the termination point of the No Waiting “At Any Time” restrictions at the eastern boundary of No.2 Lewes Road, eastwards to a point outside of Hob Cottage opposite the entrance to The Bull car park, a distance of 19 metres. This is required to maintain a free flow of traffic for cyclists and motor vehicles. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Access by emergency vehicles will not be affected.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit) Order 2025

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily bring into force the following restrictions:-

Temporary Road Closures

Bushbury Lane – from the junction with B2192 Lewes Road to the junction with U7511 Beechy Road.

Diversion via U7511 Beechy Road – B2192 Lewes Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 5 and 6 June 2025.

Keld Drive – for its entire length.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 9 June and 30 September 2025.

Hendal Hill/Cherry Gardens Hill/Plumyfeather Lane/Lye Green Road/Church Hill/ Black Hill – from the junction with B2110 Withyham Road to the junction with B2026 High Road.

Diversion via B2026 High Road, Chuck Hatch Road, Cotchford Hill, Jib Jacks Hill – B2110 High Street, Castlefields, Withyham Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 9 and 24 June 2025.

Eridge Road – from the junction with C12 Sham Farm Road to the county border. Diversion via A26 Eridge Road (KCC) – A267 Frant Road (KCC) – C70 Bunny Lane and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 9 June and 30 September 2025.

Bunny Lane – from the junction with A267 Frant Road to the junction with A26 Eridge Road.

Diversion via A267 Frant Road, Frant Green Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Mayfield Road, Tunbridge Wells Road, Argos Hill – B2101 Bicycle Arms Road, High Cross, Mayfield Road, South Street, High Street – B2100 Church Road, Rotherfield Road – C11 Western Road, Walshes Road, Fermor Road – C254 Hurtis Hill, Sheep Plain – A26 Beacon Road, Eridge Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 16 and 23 June 2025.

Lashbrooks Road/Rocks Park Road – from the junction with U7776 Rocks Park Road to the junction with U7776 Streatfield Road.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 20 June and 4 July 2025.

Uckfield Bypass – from the A22 Copwood roundabout to the A22 Blackdown roundabout.

Diversion via A22 Eastbourne Road – B2192 Heathfield Road, Lewes Road – B2102 High Street, Framfield Road, Blackboys Road, The Street, Hammonds Green, Bird in Eye Hill, Framfield Road, New Town, High Street, Bell Lane, Bell Farm Lane and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 15 and 16 July 2025.

Uckfield Bypass – from the A22 Blackdown roundabout to the Budletts roundabout.

Diversion via A22 Maresfield bypass – B2026 Straight Half Mile, Lampool Road – C3 New Road – A26 Uckfield Road, Five Ash Down, Mill Pond Road and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 15 and 16 July 2025. Fairview Lane – from the junction with C70 Broadwater Forest Lane to the junction with C465 Hillswood Road.

Diversion via C465 Hillswood Road – C70 Broadwater Forest Lane and vice versa.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 16 and 23 June 2025.

Horns Hill – from the junction with C90 Merriments Lane to the county border.

Diversion via A229 (KCC) – A268 (KCC) – A268 Hawkhurst Road – A21(T) and vice versa. Restriction is anticipated to be in place between 9 and 16 July 2025.

Temporary 30 mph Speed Limit

Lewes Road – from Woodlands to Cider House Farm.

Restriction is anticipated to be in place on 5 and 6 June 2025.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 5 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken as detailed above depending upon the weather conditions.
