TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES, TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – VARIOUS ROADS, COUNTYWIDE 2025 (No.22)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14 because of works on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads:

1.West End Road, Mortimer, Basingstoke between its junction with Church Road and its junction with St Catherines Hill

2. Worthy Road, Headbourne Worthy, Winchester between its junction with Bedfeild Lane and its junction with Stoke Road

3. Rockpits Lane, Petersfield, East Hampshire between its junction with Wheatham Lane and its junction with Pratts Lane

4. Welsh Road, Heckfield, Hart between its junction with A33 and its junction with Barge Lane

5. Padnell Avenue, Waterlooville, Havant between its junction with Winscombe Avenue and its junction with Padnell Place

6. Highbridge Road, Twyford, Winchester between its junction with Main Road and its junction with Church Lane

7. Jewry Street, Winchester between its junction with St George’s Street and its junction with High Street

8. Whittle Avenue, Fareham between its junction with Crompton Way and its junction with Gloster Court

9. North Lane, West Tytherley, Test Valley between its junction with Yew Tree Lane and its junction with Clarendon House

10. Hengistbury Road, New Milton, New Forest between its junction with Keysworth Avenue and its junction with Sea Road

11. St Georges Road, Fordingbridge, New Forest between its junction with Salisbury Road and its termination

12. Meliot Rise, Andover, Test Valley between its junction with King Arthurs Way and its junction with Caerleon Drive

13. Haslemere Road, Bramshott & Liphook, East Hampshire between its junction with Devils Lane and its junction with West Sussex border

14. Stoneleigh Avenue, Hordle, New Forest between its junction with Pinewood Road and its junction with Stopples Lane

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – To impose a 40 mph temporary speed restriction on the following road:

London Road, Odiham, Hart between its junction with Poland Lane and its junction with B3016

1. St Catherines Hill, Stephens Firs, Unnamed Road from Padworth Road Along County Boundary, Padworth Common Road, Reading Road, Welshmans Road, Chapel Road

2. Worthy Road, Worthy Lane, Andover Road, Andover Road North, Wellhouse Lane, Springvale Road, Bedfield Lane

3. Steep Marsh Lane, Kettlebrook Lane, Steep Hill, Church Road, Mill Lane

4. Welsh Lane, Basingstoke Road, Malthouse Lane, Reading Road, Green Lane, New Street, The Copse, Chequers Lane, Chequer Lane

6. Church Lane, Main Road

7. Jewry Street, City Road, Sussex Street, Upper High Street, Romsey Road, Badger Farm Road, Badger Farm Footpath, Hockley Link, St Cross Road, Southgate Street

DURATION OF ORDER: from 9th June 2025 for a period of 18 months.

(This is the duration of the Order, not the works, which will vary according to technical requirements. Closure times and patterns will be indicated on site prior to and whilst the works are in progress.) Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
