Pikes Hill, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Main Works
What is happening?
Temporary Road Closure -Pikes Hill, Lyndhurst, New Forest
Notice Is Hereby Given that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
Road To Be Closed: that part of Pikes Hill between its junction with Broughton Road and a point approximately 250 Metres North-West of said junction.
Alternative Route: Stable Hill, Emery Down, Swan Green, A35, A337.
Duration Of Order: from 27th May 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SGN to carry out gas service disconnection works.
