What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF FOOTPATH
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BALDERTON FOOTPATH NO.13) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
No person shall: - Proceed on foot,
in the following length of Footpath at Balderton in the District of Newark and Sherwood: -
Balderton Footpath No.13 its entire length between its junction with Footpath No.11 and its junction with Lowfield Lane
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From 2nd June 2025 to 29th August 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route on paths.
The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.
The prohibition is required to enable relaying and surfacing of the footpath, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the footpath.
THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 29TH DAY OF MAY 2025.
