Norwood Lane, Whaley - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NORWOOD LANE, WHALEY
WHEN: 15 June 2025 (00:00 to 07:30).
WHERE: Norwood Lane, Whaley between a
point 20m west of the Level Crossing to a point
20m east of the level crossing.
REASON: To facilitate level crossing
maintenance works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Norwood Lane,
Cockshut Lane, Portland Road, Limes Avenue,
A632 Main Road, Whaley Road, Norwood Lane
and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever
reasonably possible, on the affected length of
road. The road will re-open as soon as the work
is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Council intends to make an Order under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
