BEDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(SHARNBROOK: FOOTHPATH NO 6)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Bedford Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of public footpath No 6 Sharnbrook which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 0069 5926 to OS GR SP 0116 5958.
This temporary closure is required due to Construction works. The closure will take place from Monday 2nd June 2025 for a period of six months.
The alternative routes for users while the closure is in operation will be to proceed along Mill Road to OS GR SP 0069 5926 then proceed in an easterly direction to OS GR SP 0110 5920 and along Footpath No 8 to OS GR SP 0116 5958 and vice visa.
The Order will come into operation on 2nd June 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near the footpath to have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
