Suffolk - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility and Maintenance Works

What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2671 FREEHOLD ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2671 Freehold Road, Ipswich from no. 162 for 20 metres westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Henslow Road, Foxhall Road, Parliament Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/05/2025 - 30/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C659 BURY ROAD, HARGRAVE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C659 Bury Road, Hargrave from the junction with Church Lane for 115 metres southbound to facilitate access for overhead fibre cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ousden Road, Ladys Green, Bury Road, Front Street, the B1085, Denham Road, Barrow Road, Denham End, Denham Lane, Barrow Hill, Barrow Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 28/05/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4818 DERRY BROOK LANE, DEBENHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4818 Derry Brook Lane, Debenham from the junction with Chancery Lane to the junction with Great Back Lane to facilitate sewer repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Great Back Lane, Henniker Road and Chancery Street, the B1077 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 28/05/2025 - 30/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
