Bristol Road, Temporary Road Closures Due To Resurfacing & Safety Barrier Installation

Temporary Closure of Bristol Road (North and Southbound)
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:
Bristol Road (Southbound) - from the junction with Dunball Roundabout, southwards for a total distance of 242 metres; and Bristol Road (Northbound) - from 242 metres south of the junction with Dunball Roundabout, northwards for a total distance of 242 metres. This Order will enable Somerset Council (Major Improvement Scheme) to carry out phased installation of temporary safety barriers, carriageway resurfacing and lining (as and when signed on site) Only one side of the carriageway to be closed at any one time.
The Order becomes effective on 27th May 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 2nd June 2025 until 3rd June 2025 and 26th August 2025 until 15th September 2025 between the hours of 19:30 - 05:00 for a total of 21 nights.
