TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BECKHAM EAST AND WEST – Church Road from 365m east of its junction with Sheringham Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 5th June 2025 (may continue until 17th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Beckham Palace Road, Mill Road, Red Barn Lane, Gibbet Lane, Holt Road, Cromer Road, The Street, Church Road (East Beckham, Gresham, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). The works promoter is BT.

BLOFIELD – Hall Road from its junction with Park Lane for 85m westwards to facilitate installation of a new electrical connection from 2nd to 6th June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Road, School Road, Salhouse Road, Hospital Road to Salhouse Road Link, Post Office Road, Blofield Corner Road, Park Lane. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

COLTISHALL – 1) U57134 Rectory Road from 105m north of its junction with U57135 Westbourne Road for 20m northwards and 2) U57134 Rectory Road from its junction with U57129 The Hill for 200m southwards to facilitate main supply laying works. The road 1) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and road 2) shall be temporarily subject to suspension of the one-way system (northbound) from 2nd to 4th June 2025 (may continue until 16th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Rectory Road, Westbourne Road, B1150 Station Road/North Walsham Road, Rectory Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Lincoln Avenue from its junction with St Hughs Green for 179m north-eastwards to facilitate footway reconstructions work from 2nd June to 4th July 2025 (may continue until 4th January 2026). Alternative route is via: St Hughs Green, Queens Crescent. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Princes Road from its junction with Nelson Road North for 20m eastwards to facilitate hydrant replacement works from 2nd to 4th June 2025 (may continue until 16th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Nelson Road North, Southampton Place, Princes Road. The works promoter is Essex and Suffolk Water.

HEVINGHAM – U57254 New Road from its junction with Low Lane for 100m southwards to facilitate BT pole testing works on 6th June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: New Road, Church Lane, A140 Cromer Road, The Street, Hall Corner, Halls Corner Lane, Westgate. The works promoter is BT.

HORSHAM AND NEWTON ST FAITHS – Blind Lane from 110m east of its junction with West Lane for 100m eastwards to facilitate gas main replacement works from 2nd to 13th June 2025 (may continue until 16th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Blind Lane, West Lane, Abbey Road, Back Street. The works promoter is Cadent.

1) B1150 Norwich Road from its junction with A149 North Walsham Bypass to its junction with C506 Station Road and

2) Kings Arms Street from its junction with C559 Grammar School Road to its junction with C505 Park Lane and

3) C559 Grammar School Road from its junction with C561 Kings Arms Street for 40m north eastwards and

4) A149 North Walsham By-pass from 300m southeast of its junction with A149 Cromer Road for 500m south eastwards to facilitate resurfacing works. The roads 1) 2) and 3) will be temporarily closed between 20:00 and 06:00 from 6th to 13th June 2025, and the road 4) will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction between 20:00 and 06:00 from 4th to 13th June 2025 (may continue until 25th July 2025).

RUNTON – A149 Cromer Road from 335m northwest of its junction with Thains Lane for 30m north westwards to facilitate Anglian Water works for a new water connection between 19:00 and 07:00 from 5th to 6th June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Cromer Road, High Street, Runton Road, Prince of Wales Road, Hamilton Road, Church Street, Garden Street, Mount Street, Louden Road, West Street, Holt Road, A148 Holt Road, Holway Road, Cromer Road (Sheringham, East Beckham, Cromer, Aylmerton, Upper Sheringham, Runton, Felbrigg, Beeston Regis). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

1) C643 Sea Palling Road from its junction with C643 Water Lane to its junction with U19709 Horsey Gap and;

2) C643 Palling Road from its junction with U19279 Horsey Gap to its junction with C643 Bulmer Lane and;

3) C643 Bulmer Lane from its junction with C643/120 Somerton Road to its junction with C643 Yarmouth Road roundabout to facilitate stud removal, main dressing and stud replacement with lining works are anticipated to be closed in the following phases:

Road 1) (Phase 1) anticipated between 19:00 and 05:00 from 6th to 9th June 2025.

Road 2) (Phase 2) anticipated between 06:00 and 16:00 from 9th to 14th June 2025 and

Road 3) (Phase 3) anticipated between 19:00 and 05:00 from 23rd to 28th June 2025 only whilst signs indicating closures are in place (may continue until 28th December 2025).

NB: Please note that only one phased closure will be in place at any one time.

SALTHOUSE – Market Lane from its junction with Purdy Street for 50m south eastwards to facilitate resurfacing works in road from 2nd to 3rd June 2025 (may continue until 15th July 2025). SWANNINGTON WITH ALDERFORD AND LITTLE WITCHINGHAM – Kett’s Lane from 300m west of its junction with The Street for 50m westwards to facilitate new water connection from 3rd June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Alderford Common, Broad Lane, The Street, (Alderford, Little Witchingham, Swannington). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

TRUNCH – Trunch Footpath 1 from its junction with Gimingham Road to its junction with Brewery Road to facilitate footpath resurfacing works from 2nd to 13th June 2025 (may continue until the 25th July 2025). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

TUNSTEAD – Sco Ruston Road from 340m west of its junction with Market Street for 30m westwards to facilitate new connection works from 4th to 6th June 2025 (may continue until the 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Sco Ruston Road, Tunstead Road, B1150 Church Street/North Walsham Road, Market Street (Sloley, Scottow, Tunstead). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WESTON LONGVILLE – Sandy Lane from its junction with Weston Hall Road for 100m westwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 2nd June 2025 (may continue until 14th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Weston Hall Road, Lyng Eastaugh Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WESTON LONGVILLE – Weston Green Road from 580m east of its junction with Breck Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate safe access for pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 4th June 2025 (may continue until 16th July 2025). DITCHINGHAM – C380 Thwaite Road from 80m north of its junction with C380 Hollow Hill Road for 20m northwards to facilitate new connection works from 2nd to 4th June 2025 (may continue until 16th July 2025). FRING – Docking Road from 1200m northeast of its junction with Bircham Road for 100m north-eastwards to facilitate pole testing works between 09:30 and 15:30 on 3rd June 2025 (may continue until 15th July 2025). KING’S LYNN – St Nicholas Street from its junction with Chapel Street for 50m westwards to facilitate water meter exchange works between 19:00 and 00:00 from 5th to 6th June 2025 (may continue until 18th July 2025). Alternative route is via: St Anns Street, North Street, John Kennedy Road, Austin Street, Blackfriars Road, St James Road, London Road, Millfleet, Stonegate Street, Church Street, Boal Street, South Quay, Kings Staithe Square, Purfleet Place, King Street, Tuesday Market Place, St Nicholas Street. 1) Clough Lane from its junction with Regent Way for 10m northwards and

2) Clough Lane for its entire length to facilitate namely Norfolk County Council surface patching works. The road 1) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the road 2) shall be temporarily subject to suspension of the one-way system (southbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both a north and a south direction from 3rd to 4th June 2025 (may continue until the 16th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Clough Lane, Regent Way. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

1) Burkitt Street from its junction with Loke Road to its junction with Walker Street and

2) Burkitt Street from its junction with Loke Road for 130m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council footway reconstruction works. Traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the road 1) shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload and road 2) will be temporarily closed from 2nd June to 11th July 2025 (may continue until 11th January 2026). Alternative route is via: Loke Road, Cresswell Street, Walker Street. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

KING’S LYNN – U20204 Walker Street from its junction with Burkitt Street to its junction with Cresswell Street to facilitate footway reconstruction work. Traffic (constituting any class of vehicle) over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload from 2nd June to 18th July 2025 (may continue until 18th January 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

NORDELPH – Outwell Road from its junction with Silt Road to its junction with Pincushion Road to facilitate surface dressing works from 19:00 on the 2nd to 05:00 on 3rd June 2025 (may continue until 15th July 2025).
