NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cornwall Council proposes to make the above Orders to regulate traffic in Penzance. The effect is to introduce, amend and revoke various restrictions on waiting and driving along the lengths of road described below. The introduction of road humps and raised tables under the provisions of Sections 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980, are also proposed, as detailed below.
The effect will be to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety along these lengths of road.
It is also proposed that Cornwall Council exercise its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to establish a Zebra crossing at the location specified below.
This will provide a safe crossing facility for pedestrian movements.

One way driving restriction
Coinagehall Street from Green Street to Under Chapel Yard (south-east to north-west); Green Street from 16m east of Under Chapel Yard to Coinagehall Street (west to east); Quay Street (south-east to north-west); Road from Wharf Road to Quay Street (north-east to south-west).
Flat top road humps
Battery Road 1 flat top road hump to be laid at location of existing zebra crossing; Road from Wharf Road to Quay Street 1 flat top road hump to be laid at junction with The Quay/Wharf Road; Under Chapel Yard 1 flat top road hump to be laid at junction with Battery Road; The flat top road humps will be laid along the carriageway, having a rise of 75mm, extending the full width of the carriageway.
The stated horizontal and vertical dimensions are subject to permitted pavement construction tolerances.
Raised Table
Battery Road 1 raised table to be located adjacent Coinagehall Street, having a rise of 75mm and extending full width of carriageway.
The stated horizontal and vertical dimensions are subject to permitted pavement construction tolerances.
Road Narrowing
Coinagehall Street junction with Under Chapel Yard; Green Street junction with Under Chapel Yard; Under Chapel Yard junction with Battery Road/Green Street.
Zebra crossing
The Quay outside Waterside Meadery.
