What is happening?

SHOTESHAM – C187 Chapel Lane from its junction with C203 The Street for 300m northwards to facilitate drainage works from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, The Common, Shotesham Road, Norwich Road, Long Lane, Poringland Road, Stoke Road, B1332 Bungay Road, Shotesham Road Chapel Lane (Poringland, Framingham Earl, Stoke Holy Cross, Shotesham). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

SPARHAM – C476 The Street from its junction with C168 Well Lane/Church Lane for 80m northwards to facilitate water excavation works between 08:00 and 13:00 on 28th May 2025 (may continue until 10th June 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Well Lane, Church Lane, Lyng Road (Sparham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SPARHAM – C168 Church Lane from its junction with C168 Well Lane/Church Lane for 200m southwards to facilitate water excavation works between 08:00 and 13:00 on 28th May 2025 (may continue until 10th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Lyng Road, Well Lane, Church Lane (Sparham, Great Witchingham). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

BROUGHTON ROW – C140 Broughton Row from U76284 School Lane for 270m southeastwards to facilitate new electrical connection works from 27th to 31st May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Broughton Road, Station Road, Chapel Road, Station Lane, London Road (Wymondham, Spooner Row). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

SURLINGHAM – U78048 The Green from its junction with Ferry Road for 70m southwards to facilitate water main works from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Ferry Road, Pratt’s Hill, Walnut Hill, School Lane, The Green (Surlingham). The works promoter is Clancy.

THETFORD – Glebe Close from its junction with Patternmaker Close for 30m southwards to facilitate new water connection works from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until the 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Glebe Close, Patternmaker Close (Thetford). The works promoter is Clancy.

SWAFFHAM – C122 Beachamwell Road from 386m southwest of its junction with C44 Clay Road for 1400m south-southwestwards to facilitate patch works between 09:30 and 15:30 from 27th to 29th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: C122 Beachamwell Road/Byrnee Beachamwell Road/Redmoor Road, A1122 Swaffham Road, Lynn Road, C44 Clay Road (Barton Bendish, Swaffham, Beachamwell). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

THETFORD – Sawmill Lane from its junction with Old Bury Road for 50m southwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 28th May 2025 (may continue until the 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Sawmill Lane, Bury Road, Bridge Street, Old Bury Road. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WINFARTHING – B1077 Diss Road from its junction with C318 Heywood Road for 1200m southwards to facilitate patching works from 27th to 29th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: B1077 The Street, Winfarthing Road, Church Road, Shelfanger Road, Denmark Street, Park Road, Victoria Road, Diss Road, Ipswich Road, Vinces Road, Long Row, Head Street, Church Road, Winfarthing Road, The Street (Shelfanger, Diss, Roydon, Burston and Shimpling). Absdon. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WINFARTHING – B1077 Diss Road from its junction with Old Bury Road for 50m southwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 28th May 2025 (may continue until the 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Lime Kiln Lane, Church Road, Diss Road (Winfarthing). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

GRIMSTON – U71114 Lynn Road from its junction with Low Road for 25m westwards to facilitate highway works on 29th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Lynn Road, Low Road, Lynn Road, School Road (Grimston). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

TWELFTH STREET – U75410 Twelfth Street from its junction with Back Street to facilitate drainage surveys works from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Twelfth Street, Back Street, Cross Street, The Lane (Harleston). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

HARPLEY – U22195 Nethergate Street from its junction with Back Street to facilitate surface dressing patching works from 27th May to 3rd June 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Nethergate Street, Back Street, School Road, Nethergate Street (Harpley). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HILGAY – B1412 Bridge Street from 80m north of its junction with Bexwell Road for 200m northwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 27th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Bexwell Road, Bridge Street, Lynn Road, B1412 Bridge Street (Hilgay). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

KINGS LYNN – John Kennedy Road from its junction with Loke Road to its junction with Austin Street to facilitate drainage works from 27th May to 4th June 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Austin Street, Littleport Street, Gaywood Road, Lynn Road, Wootton Road, Low Road, Edward Benefer Way, John Kennedy Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

LITTLE MASSINGHAM – Smeeth Road from its junction with Weasenham Road for 200m southwards to facilitate patching works across carriageway from 27th to 28th May 2025 (may continue until 9th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Weasenham Road, Rougham Road, Rudham Road, Station Road (Great Massingham, Harpley, Little Massingham). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

MARSHLAND ST. JAMES – Smeeth Road from 265m east of its junction with Bonnetts Lane for 80m eastwards to facilitate works for a new connection from 28th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Smeeth Road, Walton Road, St Pauls Road South, Walton Highway Bypass A47, Church Road, Marsh Road, School Road (Tilney St. John, Walpole, Walpole Highway, West Walton, Marshland St. James). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

NORTH CREAKE – Burnham Road from 55m south of its junction with Durns Lane for 55m southwards to advance cable replacement connection from 28th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Burnham Road, Creake Road, Front Street, Upp Street, North Street, Market Place, Church Walk, Docking Road, Stanhoe Road, Bircham Road, Heacham Road, Rudham Road, Tattersall Road, South Acre Road, The Bunker, Burnham Market, The Common, Waterden Lane, The Green, Church Street (South Creake, Docking, Syderstone, Burnham Market, Salthouse, Stanhoe, North Creake). NORTHWOLD AND WHITTINGTON – Hall Lane from 30m north of its junction with School Lane for 40m northwards to facilitate works for a new connection from 29th to 31st May 2025 (may continue until 12th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Lane, High Street, Methwold Road, School Lane. The works promoter is UK Power Network.

NORTHWOLD AND WHITTINGTON – School Lane from its junction with Hall Lane for 50m southeastwards to facilitate NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL drainage works from 29th to 31st May 2025 (may continue until 12th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Lane, High Street, Methwold Road, Thetford Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

RUNCTON HOLME – Main Road from its junction with Common Lane for 570m westwards to facilitate the Norfolk County Council surface dressing patch works between 08:00 and 17:00 from 27th to 29th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: School Road, Bartholomew's Drove, Lynn Road, Thetford Road, Downham Market Bypass A10, Bexwell Road, Railway Road, Main Road (Runcton Holme, Downham Market, Wimbotsham, Wormegay, Tottenhill). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SOUTH WOOTTON – Church Lane from 145m west of its junction with Nursery Lane for 30m westwards to facilitate works from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Nursery Lane, Low Road, Grimston Road, Church Lane (South Wootton). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

STOKE HOLY CROSS – U78044 Long Lane from its junction with Mill Road for 30m northwards to facilitate water meter repair works from 28th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Chandler Road, Long Lane (Stoke Holy Cross). The works promoter is Clancy.

THOMPSON – U33159 Hallfield Road from 80m north of its junction with Pockthorpe Lane for 100m northwards to facilitate meter exchange works from 28th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Pockthorpe Lane, School Road, Church Lane, Hallfield Road (Thompson). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – B1105 Warham Road from 1656m south-west of its junction with Northfield Lane to facilitate surface dressing works from 27th May to 5th June 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: The Marsh, Freemans Road, The Buttlands, Market Lane, Maryland, East Quay, Wells Road, New Cut, Burnham Road, Station Road, A149, Wells Road, A149, Warham Road, Market Lane (Wells-next-the-Sea, Warham, Stiffkey, Morston, Blakeney). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WENDLING – C172 Station Road from 70m north of its junction with Station Road for 50m northwards to facilitate a new water connection from 27th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 11th July 2025). Alternative route is via: Station Road, School Road, The Carrs, School Road, Fakenham Road, Fakenham Road, The Carrs (Wendling). The works promoter is Clancy.

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle paths, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT).

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
