What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
THE C725 HADLEIGH ROAD, THE GREEN AND THE STREET, WHATFIELD
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C725 Hadleigh Road, The Green and The Street, Whatfield to facilitate works in the following phases:
C725 The Street, Whatfield from the junction with Jacks Meadow to no.1
C725 The Street, Whatfield from no. 1 to “Maple House”
C725 The Street, Whatfield from no. 3 to Green Lane
C725 The Green, Whatfield from Green Lane to Street Farm
C725 Hadleigh Road from The Green to B1070
Other coordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Diversion routes will be:
Southbound traffic: B1070, B1115, A1071, A1141, The Green Road, Whatfield Road, Nedging with Naughton, The Street, Bildeston, B1115 to A1070
Northbound traffic: A1070, The Green Road from the A1071 to the B1117, Gosford Road, Whatfield Road, All Saints Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/06/2025 - 01/06/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1115 WALDINGFIELD ROAD, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1115 Waldingfield Road, Sudbury from Acton Lane to the mini-roundabout to enable a water main exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
Diversion routes will be: A1141, A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 01am on 06/06/2025 - 06/06/2025. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION
ON PART OF THE A137 WANDERERS ROAD, BRIDGE STREET, HAVERS STREET, THE A1189 FELIXSTOWE ROAD, BISHOPS HILL, FORE HAMLET AND FORE STREET
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A137 Wanderers Road, Ipswich from its junction with Bridge Street to the A1189 Nacton Road to facilitate road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: the A137, the A1214, the A1156, the A14 and vice versa.
During the closure it will be necessary to suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads:
A137 Bridge Street, Ipswich
A137 St Matthews Street
A137 Princes Street
A137 Civic Drive
A137 Handford Road, Ipswich
A137 London Road
A1189 Felixstowe Road, Ipswich
A1156 St Helens Street
A1156 Fore Street, Ipswich
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/06/2025 - 06/06/2025 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C729 POND HALL ROAD, HADLEIGH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C729 Pond Hall Road, Hadleigh from Aldham House (Hadleigh) Lane to enable drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Station Road, the B1070, the A1071, Duke Street, Pond Hall Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/06/2025 - 06/06/2025 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C447 THE STREET, GREAT BRICETT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C447 The Street, Great Bricett from junction with B1078 to enable pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: B1078, C445, Bildeston Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3346 RUMBECK LANE, U3316 TUDDENHAM LANE, U3316 THE STREET AND U3006HAM'S LANE, WETHERINGSETT CUM BROCKFORD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
U3346 Rumbeck Lane, Wetheringsett from the junction with B1077 to Moss Lane
U3316 Tuddenham Lane, Wetheringsett from the junction with Rumbeck Lane to Wetheringsett Lane
U3316 The Street, Wetheringsett from its junction with Tuddenham Lane to Wetheringsett Lane
U3006 Ham's Lane, Wetheringsett from the junction with The Street to the A140
To enable carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be: Rumbeck Road, Tuddenham Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/06/2025 - 04/06/2025 from 9am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF WOOLPIT) (VARIOUS ROADS)
(20MPH SPEED ZONE) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order for the District of Ipswich under Section 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of which would be to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone on:
Church Street (C435), from a point approximately 68m west of its junction with Heath Road, to its junction with Rectory Lane
Cormill Green (U4421): the whole road from its junction with Mill Lane, south to Property Nos. 12/14
Heath Road (U4421), from its junction with Rectory Lane, to where the road ends, before crossing the railway track
Mill Lane (U4308), the whole road from its junction with Mill Lane, Northwest to Hogger’s Road
Mill Lane (U4308), the whole road, from its junction with The Street, south east to its junction with Heath Road
The Street (U4308), from its junction with The Street, to a point approximately 15m east of the junction with Rectory Lane
Rectory Lane (U4421), from its junction with Church Street, North for a distance of 163m
Bury Road (C435), from a point 16m south of Bay Bame Meadow, to its junction with The Street
The Street (Church Street), From a point 10m north of Drinkstone Road, north to its junction with Church Street, a distance of approximately 413m and including the turning island and mini roundabout also having its access included.
