What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(STIRLING ROAD AND WILLIS PEARSON AVENUE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:

* Stirling Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Mervyn Road and Daley Road/ Wallace Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Wallace Road, Bradley Lane and vice versa.

* Willis Pearson Avenue closed in both directions at its junction with Stirling Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Wallace Road, Mervyn Road, Stirling Road and vice versa.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 9 June 2025 until 19 June 2025.

The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement by Cadent.
