What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
B6056 MAIN ROAD, MARSH LANE
WHEN: 02 June to 23 August 2025 (05:00 to 07:00 & 09:00 to 15:00 weekdays, 24 hrs at weekends. Any 10 days within period shown).
WHERE: B6056 Main Road, Marsh Lane between its Jct. with Snowden Lane for a distance of 2.35km in an easterly direction to a point adjacent public footpath next to Eckington School.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway surface dressing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B6056 Main Road, Dronfield Road, B6052 Chesterfield Road / Springwell Hill, Eckington Road, Handley Road, Long Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
