THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
IN RESPECT OF PRE-PATCHING) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions)Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on the following stretches of road:

· Darlaston Lane closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Wolverhampton Street,
Moxley Road, High Street, Oxford Street, Lichfield Street, Mount Pleasant, Willenhall Road and vice versa. It
is anticipated that the restrictions will operate on 9th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

· Warstones Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Springhill Lane and Billy Wright Close.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Springhill Lane, Penn Road, Coalway Road and vice versa. It is anticipated that
the restrictions will operate on 10th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30.

· Bhylls Lane closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Windmill Lane, Bridgnorth
Road, Finchfield Hill, Finchfield Road West, Broad Lane, Trysull Road, Oxbarn Avenue, Coalway Road and
vice versa. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate on 11th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30
and 14:30.

· Birches Barn Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Trysull Road,
Oxbarn Avenue, Coalway Road, Penn Road, Stubbs Road and vice versa. It is anticipated that the restriction
will operate on 12th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

· Henwood Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Tettenhall Road, Chapel
Ash, Ring Road, Chapel Ash, Compton Road, Compton Road West, Bridgnorth Road and vice versa. It is
anticipated that the restriction will operate on 13th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00.

· Nethy Drive closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate on
16th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

· Birchfield Avenue closed its entire length in both directions. Access/egress to frontages maintained. It is
anticipated that the restriction will operate on 16th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.
· Enville Road closed its entire length in both directions. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate on
17th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00.

· East Croft Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Hilston Avenue,
Warstones Road, Warstones Drive and vice versa. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate on
17th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only.

· Elston Hall Lane closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Kempthorne Avenue,
Showell Circus, Third Avenue, Raynor Road, Cannock Road, Stafford Street, Stafford Road, Three Tuns
Lane and vice versa. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate on 18th June 2025, between the hours of
09:30 and 15:00.

· Moseley Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Willenhall Road (A454) and Bunkers Hill
Lane. Vehicular Diversion Route: Willenhall Road (A454), The Keyway, Bilston Road and vice versa. It is
anticipated that the restriction will operate on 19th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30.

· Bilston Road closed its entire length in both directions. Vehicular Diversion Route: Willenhall Road, Mount
Pleasant, Lichfield Road, Oxford Street, Black Country Route, The Keyway and vice versa. It is anticipated
that the closure will operate on 20th June 2025, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30.

· Wellington Road closed in both directions from its junction with Stowheath Lane/Ward Street to its junction
with Prouds Lane. Vehicular Diversion Route: Lichfield Street, Oxford Street, Black Country Route, The
Keyway, Willenhall Road, Lower Horseley Fields, Horseley Fields, Middle Cross, Ring Road and Bilston
Road or Lichfield Street, Oxford Street, Black Country Route, Birmingham New Road, Thompson Avenue,
Birmingham Road, Grove Street, Dudley Road, Ring Road and Bilston Road. It is anticipated that the
restriction will operate from 19:00 on 23rd June 2025, until 05:00 on 24th June 2025.

· Bilston Road (A41) closed outbound only from its junction with Ring Road to opposite its junction with Jenner
Street. Vehicular Diversion Route: Ring Road, Middle Cross, Horseley Fields, Lower Horseley Fields,
Willenhall Road, The Keyway, Black Country Route, Oxford Street, Lichfield Street and Wellington Road. It is
anticipated that the restriction will operate from 19:00 on 24th June 2025, until 05:00 on 25th June 2025.

· Birmingham Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Grove Street and Thompson Avenue.

It is anticipated that the restriction will operate from 19:00 on 25th June 2025, until 05:00 on 26th June 2025.

· Thompson Avenue closed in both directions between its junctions with Birmingham Road and Dixon Street.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Grove Street, Dudley Road, Ring Road, Bilston Road, Ettingshall Road and
Parkfield Road or Parkfield Road, Ettingshall Road, Bilston Road and Ring Road. It is anticipated that the
restriction will operate from 19:00 on 25th June 2025, until 05:00 on 26th June 2025.

· Dudley Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Goldthorn Hill and Bromley Street.
Vehicular Diversion Route: Goldthorn Hill, Penn Road, Ring Road, Birmingham Road and Grove Street or
Dudley Street, Ring Road, Penn Road and Goldthorn Hill. It is anticipated that the restriction will operate from
19:00 on 26th June 2025, until 05:00 on 27th June 2025.

· Millfields Road closed in both directions between its junctions with Manor Road/Ettingshall Road and Tarmac
Road. Vehicular Diversion Route: Parkfield Road, Thompson Avenue, Birmingham Road, Grove Street,
Dudley Road, Ring Road, Bilston Road, Wellington Road, Lichfield Street, Oxford Street, Black Country
Route and Coseley Road or Coseley Road, Black Country Route, Oxford Street, Lichfield Street, Wellington
Road, Bilston Road, Ring Road, Birmingham Road, Thompson Avenue and Parkfield Road. It is anticipated
that the restriction will operate from 19:00 on 27th June 2025, until 05:00 on 28th June 2025.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months', but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on the dates given in respect of each closure, between the times detailed.
The Order is required to facilitate pre-patching prior to surface treatment works in the carriageway.
