What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(RING ROAD & BROAD STREET BUS LANE CLOSURE)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:

· Ring Road & Broad Street - Bus Lane suspended between Bilston Street Island and the junction with Fryer Street. Bus diversion Route: Pipers Row, Fryer Street

· The right-hand bus lane turn on Ring Road closed. Bus diversion route: Bilston Street Island, Pipers Row and vice versa

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the restrictions will be in place between the hours of 23:30 and 04:00 from 7 June 2025 until 9 June 2025.

The Order is required to facilitate principal inspection works to be carried out on a highway structure by CWC Highway Structures.
