THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BRIDGE STREET, BROADLEYS AND MARKET STREET,
CLAY CROSS) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025(Z3403)
Notice is hereby given that, on the 22nd May 2025 the Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 2nd June 2025 and its effect is:TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME BY VEHICLES (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING) ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Market Street, Clay Cross
South side
From its junction with Broadleys in a westerly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
Broadleys, Clay Cross
East side
From its junction with Market Street in in a southerly direction for a distance of 23 metres.
From a point 47 metres south of its junction with Market Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
From a point 80 metres south of its junction with Market Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 6 metres.
TO RESTRICT WAITING BY VEHICLES 8AM TO 6PM ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Market Street, Clay Cross
South Side
From a point 44 metres east of its junction with Bridge Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 86 metres.
TO LIMIT WAITING BY VEHICLES 9AM TO 6PM FOR 1 HOUR WITH NO RETURN WITHIN 1 HOUR ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Broadleys, Clay Cross
From a point 23 metres south of its junction with Market Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 24 metres.
From a point 71 metres south of its junction with Market Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 9 metres.
From a point 86 metres south of its junction with Market Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 17 metres.
TO RESTRICT LOADING ONLY ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD:
Bridge Street, Clay Cross
West side
From its junction with Market Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 17 metres.Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge will also apply. Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked. A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, and at Clay Cross Library, Kenning Park, Holmgate Road, S45 9PH during opening hours and on request by emailing

quoting reference Z3403, until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 3rd July 2025. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 22nd May 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
