What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ABBOTT ROAD, ALFRETON (A38 SLIP)
WHEN: 09 June to 27 June 2025 (20:00 to 06:00)
WHERE: Abbott Road, Alfreton (A38 Slip) between the A38 and its Jct. with Abbott Road.
REASON: To facilitate vegetation clearing and drainage works on the A38.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Abbott Road, Nottingham Road, A38 slip west bound, A38, Watchorn Interchange, A61, A617, M1 junction 29, M1, M1 / A38 junction 29 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
